Advantages: accurate movement, easy scrolling, lots of refinements Disadvantages: installation with Thinkpad is tricky
...The mouse is one of the only computer components that remains largely unchanged since the start of the "information age". It is a plastic case containing a ball which registers movement with two noisy buttons on top. However, with this mouse comes the two greatest pointer innovations for years.
Rather than a ball and moving parts which would embarrass the average Dyson in it's ability to remove dust from surfaces, the pointer movement is controlled by lightpulses. You still move the mouse around like usual, but there are no clogs and stoppages.
The second innovation is the wheel from which the mouse's name is lent. The basic purpose is to scroll up and down a page without using the scrollbar. This is a time saving and useful feature.
There are also a large number of refinements that we have come to expect from Microsoft's software...
