I bought British edition of Encarta World English Dictionary known as BLOOMSBURY ENGLISH DICTIONARY (2004-2nd Edition) in May 2007 .
It is fantastic lexicon . I praise its world coverage on English (American, Australian, Asian, Soth African etc., )and encyopedic entries and we can find accurate population details of almost all important cities of the nations . The spell check is another salient feature in this dictionary . Its price also cheap comparing ... ...can find a lot illustration and chart. Somwhat, we can call it mini encyopedia . The Biographical entries are given wide coverage covering almost all popular personalities of the world . Hence , it missed some popular personalities in politics such as Netaji Subash Chandrabose ,Kamarj, Rajaji, EVR, K.R.Narayanan other Indian personalities such as M.S.Swaminathan, J.R.D.Tata. The Encarta World English Dictionary is more than a dictionary. It is really an encyclopaedic dictionary, that happy combination of two different types of book. Actually, not all encyclopaedic dictionaries are happy combinations between the two different types of book. But the Encarta World English Dictionary is, as it happens.
