Advantages Advantages An amazing storyline and some brilliant sound effects bring the game to life!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Online features are pretty terrible!

Enchanted Arms The game is apparently Xbox 360 only but it is on PS3 as well and the game is made by developers UbiSoft. Enchanted Arms is a turn based JRPG (Japanese role playing game) that has been released here in the UK and many other countries. You play the role as a feisty character named Atsuma. The game starts in Atsuma's home city called Yokohama and he is there with his two friends Mokoto and Toya, they are all students attending the university there and they're studying enchanting, so they can become one of the best Golem hunters in the world (Golems in the game are simply monsters ... more

Advantages Advantages Beatiful Graphics, Excellent Cutscenes, Story

Disadvantages Disadvantages Battle System, Too much talking, Instructions

This game is produced by Ubisoft, one of the first real RPG's for XBOX360, a valiant attempt at capturing the fan base of previous PS2 RPG's such as Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. *Graphics* The graphics of this game, right from the intro movie are spectacular, the 3D graphical rendering is impeccable and the stereo sound is awesome. The cutscenes really take advantage of the graphics engine of the Xbox 360. The gameplay itself is also quite clean, with nice flame, lens flare and water effects. *Gameplay* The gameplay is based on a fairly simple premise whereby the main character Atsuma is ... more

Advantages Advantages Good role playing game

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Boring landscapes

For those people who enjoy role playing games then this is not a bad option, it is not a classic like Final Fantasy but it does make a pretty good effort at providing an entertaining and challenging game play experience. You take on the role of Atsuma a student at Enchanted University and although you don’t actually know it at the start of the game you have some special powers which will be needed to save the universe from the evil Golems who are intent of destroying it. This is a pretty predictable role playing game, you spend a lot of the game running down linear paths to fight the next ... more

Advantages Advantages Final Fantasy-esque RPG action

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many to list...

If you own or know anybody who owns an Xbox 360, you may notice the distinct lack of any RPG's so far. Sure, there are a couple of (poor) attempts out there, and Enchanted Arms is Microsoft's attempt at filling the niché. I'm going to refer LOTs to Final Fantasy, as this is the 'standard' for RPG's you could say. Final Fantasy VII set the standard for almost every RPG out today, so I think it's justified. NB: I am NOT comparing this to Final Fantasy VII in any way, just using it for guidelines. Some background: You play as Atsuma, an 'Enchanter' student at some random enchanting University in ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely to look at, Cut scenes and story line very absorbing, Gameplay simple and enjoyable

Disadvantages Disadvantages Spoken conversations, Some sounds not very appropriate

I have throughly enjoyed this game to date, Although there are a few little annoyances it is an awesome game to look at and very enjoyable to play. The story line seems very absorbing and the game flows nicely. One of the annoying parts is the spoken conversations all the time that you can't skip through. Although it is a very clever game and Ubisoft have released in my opinion one of the best RPG games on the 360 there are bits that annoy. All in all though certainly not enough to detract from the true playability of this game. Story:- You start this game by taking control of a character ... more
