Battle alongside the original motion picture cast. Experience unparalleled film collaboration resulting in a true Matrix experience. Watch over an hour of exclusive film footage from the creators of the Matrix trilogy. All you Matrix fans out there, this game is the one for you!

This game does not follow the film from the film's point of view, i.e. Neo, Morpheus and Trinity. Instead, fight your way behind the scenes as either Niobe or Ghost, following the story and successfully affecting what happens in the films. It's true- play the story within the story, for instance in the Matrix: Reloaded, Niobe and Ghost end up in the Matrix ready to help Morpheus on the freeway. But how did they get there, and what happened on their way? Well, play it!

This game is the best of it's kind, featuring over an hour of exclusive footage filmed purely for the game. As you go through the game, you get certain information that you don't get from the movie. For example, in the film Niobe and Ghost must destroy the power plant before Neo gets to the door. You see the plant exploding but you do not see what actually happened inside. In this game you see what happens, and it is your job to destroy the plant.

I found this game hugely enjoyable, and very addictive. I love the fighting styles and stunts you can do. I also love going into focus mode, which is when you see the action in super slow motion, which was a huge hit when making the films. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that most of the levels are at night or in a really dark place, which gave the game a dull feeling. I loved the sound, especially as you slow down time to focus mode- "DON'T EVEN BREUUUUUUUTTH"!

The graphics are very good. I wouldn't say they were top notch, but they do not affect the gameplay. I'm talking about the simple worlds, the blank runways etc. But I found that to watch bullets speed past you in slow motion was somewhat satisfying. Also, the clothes that the characters wear are nothing short of funky- Niobe usually wears an orange scaly overall, and ghost usually wears a smart three-piece suit, which look super cool when performing stunts. Also, the trademark glasses- the Matrix was always renowned for the shades that the characters wore in the matrix, for instance Morpheus' specs, which clipped onto his nose! Niobe's specs are very stylish and not something a man would wear. Unfortunately, Ghost's glasses are not so cool; they're just normal sunglasses. Pity.

Controlling the characters can take some getting used to. For some of the really cool stunts, you're holding about five different buttons at the same time, which can get confusing. Also, when in focus, you will automatically run up a wall, which is not so convenient when you're fighting from a ledge. But other than that the controls are quite simple.

Niobe always drives everything. She is a top driver of cars, hovercrafts etc. Ghost is an expert gunner, so the two make quite a pair. On the freeway, if you're playing as Niobe you drive and if you're playing with ghost then you lean out of the window and shoot at the enemies. Simple as that. This is also the case on the last level, when you have to navigate the tunnels of the real with the hovercraft whilst running away from thousands of sentinels that latch on to you. The last level, I must admit, is quite easy, yet is still fun. I considered it a bonus for my achievements in the matrix.

I bought this game recently as part of a "buy two for £30" offer from HMV. It is now available in platinum, which is the cheaper version anyway, so it's not too expensive. In fact, because of all the videos and extras, I think it's a real bargain! So if you're a Matrix fan or even if you're not- I would seriously consider buying this incredible game.

Thanks for reading,
Alex x x x

Advantages: Diverse methods of attacking enemies
Disadvantages: The driving and flying levels

...tie in game ever made, Enter The Matrix certainly had a lot to live up to. There’s been a lot of criticism of games which are based around movie’s and this game had it fair share of critics right from the beginning. The big question is did it live up to the massive hype and anticipation that was cast upon its shoulders. There’s no actual answer to this question, it’s definitely a brilliant game, no doubt about it. Whether ...

It offers car chases, diverse fighting techniques, tons of weapons and the incredible experience of battling face to face with an agent. You can run up walls, you can take out SWAT teams, you can even spar with Trinity. From this it is clear that Enter The Matrix relies heavily on the plot and story of The Matrix ... Read review

Has the matrix still got you
Review of Enter the Matrix (Xbox) by hippykiller

Advantages: the abilty of bullettime
Disadvantages: it is a bit short

Enter the matrix is the game which follows the plot of the matrix trilogy as you play as the crew of the logos. I do recommend that you watch the matrix series before you play the game, as then I will be easier to understand what the story is all about. Game storyline The logos has received information that the ship Osiris has made an emergency drop off in the matrix, the main reason that captain niobe thinks this drop off is important is because ...

Pretty soon niode and ghost were getting ready to jack in with some encouraging thought from the operator sparky as he ask them where they would like to be buried and always they jack in. Gameplay The Gameplay is simple enough, you just move from one place to another making sure you don’t get kill in the process, to help you are over 25 weapons includes pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles and my personal ... the fourth part of the trilogy
Review of Enter the Matrix (Xbox) by C_W_Monkey

Advantages: Fantastic Game
Disadvantages: Too Short

This is part of my series of reviews on the entire matrix franchise. Look out for the next part soon The matrix is one of the biggest trilogies ever constructed. It cost the production company hundreds of millions of dollars. But the fact is that the matrix is not a trilogy. The idea surrounding it was brilliant. Not only make a trilogy of films, but create the animatrix and a game to fill in the gaps. There's also "the matrix online" and various ...
...Of course, this was more of a money making exercise than it is a creative one. But that's just the cynic in me coming out. So is this game any good? Well Mr. Anderson let me explain. I must warn, the following does give a little away about later levels in the game. However, if you've seen the movie or any of the hype about the game then you should have already been exposed to the plot. --------------------------- The Plot --------------------------- ... In the battle to save Zion who will you Play?
Review of Enter the Matrix (Xbox) by d-jj-mccann

Advantages: Stunning graphics, amazing moves, great movie scenes
Disadvantages: No Neo or Morpheus

Well, after being a bin Matrix fan and seeing the The Matrix reloaded in the cinema I excitedly purchased the game version. And to my horror as a no.1 fan I was shocked to find that Neo, Morpheus and Trinity were nowhere to be seen. Apart from that major flaw in the game I could certinly see no other apart from the shortness of it if you only clear games once. The ability to chose between Niobe and Ghost made the game just that bit more better. ...
...is the man for you. On the other hand if you love fighting agents, driving cars and flying high speed hovercrafts while being chased by a very fast explosive device like me then you should definitly chose Niobe. As you know already, you can be either Captain Niobe or Smooth dresser Ghost. You're operater is Sparx and each character has a different story line. While playing Ghost you encounter a long airplane/car chase, an agent in a helicopter and ... Read review

Its a funny LITTLE game
Review of Enter the Matrix (Xbox) by bluezest

Advantages: superb grachics, some great moves
Disadvantages: The game is far too short, you play through the game as a very dull character

...hype of The Matrix Reloaded, Enter The Matrix arrived. The game astonishes the buyer almost instantly with the extremely easy to use bullet time and the really brilliant looking moves that are possible to perform from just tapping a button once it seems this is the best game in existence. Well unfortunately its not. Once you get bored with all the zappy moves you realise that you should complete the game. And yes unfortunately it is extremely short. ...
...quickly. There are some cool extra features like being able to drive on some levels but that can become very boring very quickly making the amount of play time last on this game until you get bored about 2 weeks. Being a huge Matrix fan this really put me off but fortunately, the game is not all bad. The graphics are absolutely incredible especially with in slow motion. The bullets can be seen whizzing past you as you run away flipping to dodge them. ... Read review
