Good guitar for the price.
Advantages: Lightweight (good for me), stays tuned, low action. Disadvantages: Fret buzzing occurs too easily.

I play in a band where we mostly do cover versions of songs in bars, so the music I play varies from punk to alternative rock to brit pop. This guitar sounds nice no matter what I play, I use a Fender twin amp which is a good versatile amp. It sounds best when I play hard rock but non-metal stuff if you see where I'm going.

The looks: this guitar looks very nice for the price, I mean, it pretty much looks like the original gibson. The finish stayed in great shape even after a year of carrying it around everywhere.

This guitar sounds nice no matter what I play, I use a Fender twin amp which is a good versatile amp. It sounds best when I play hard rock but non-metal stuff if you see where I'm going.
Action: The action is very low the way I like it, but after a month I started noticing a fret buzz, although I take good care of the guitar, it might be the cold winters but I had to adjust the action a little higher to avoid this, but no major things, it still plays great, the neck is comfortable to play with but not suited for very very fast playing I guess, my friend who played for a lot of time had some hard time playing a Pantera fast solo (metal band) but could play it without trouble on his Ibanez RX. If you're playing everything except very fast moving around riffs on the neck, this guitar is good for you. The tuning holds well too, never had a problem with that.
Overall, I'd say this guitar is well worth the price, I'd pay 200 more for the same quality, after adjusting the action, it plays very nice and sounds awesome, plus, it's a gorgeous looking guitar. It's hard to say no to a guitar like this one. Don't get me wrong I've played better guitars but for the price, it's a very good investment for a guitar to bring to practice or to play on stage.
Advantages: Great attack and sustain for a good metal/rock style of play. Disadvantages: Not particularly well balanced.
The epiphone g400 is a stunning guitar. Its looks is what attracted me to it first and formost in the shop. After having a go in the shop i was completely blown away! The sound that this thing can make is unbelievable in respect to the price tag. It is exceptional value!
The alnico humbuckers pruduce a great crunchy sound for distorted rock/metal style of playing. It has plenty of attack and great sustain. It has quite a wide neck which makes it ... ...A) where on other guitars my fingers would be squashed up and would make playing the chord uncomfortable. But this is not the case on the g400. The action is very good too. And if it is not to your preference then changing and tweaking this guitar to your liking is almost too easy! I have had this guitar for over a year now and i still get excited about playing it! Which (in my opinion) is what a great guitar is all about - it makes you WANT to play. ...

Advantages: Cheap, Good Quality Disadvantages: Bad Stock Strings
I have owned this product for half a year now and am very impressed with the quality of the product, considering how cheap it is available. It is very versatile, and is capable of playing a variety of genres, but in general mostly Rock, a la ACDC/Bon Jovi, and Blues Rock. It has fantastic action and set up, and the Pickups sound great, although i would reccomend changing the strings as soon as you get it , as the stock ones arent very good and don't ...

Advantages: Superb looks Disadvantages: Would benefit from Gibson pickups
I've always been a fan of SG's ever since I saw Angus Young wielding one way back in the 1980's. I finally bought myself a genuine Gibson SG Special 2 years ago, and it takes pride of place in my collection.
In my opinion SG's are the coolest looking guitar on the planet, so when I got the opportunity to get hold of one of these Epiphone Deluxe models I jumped at the chance.
Specifications:
2 Alnico V humbuckers
Flame maple top
Vintage sunburst finish
Mahogany body
Chrome hardware
Scale: 24.75"

Build quality:
Very good, nice solid construction. The flame maple top is extremely well put together.
Sound:
Very good, but it would benefit from a set of pickups with a little more power. Nice range of tones, even on clean. The mahogany body really helps give a nice long sustain ...
