Advantages: Well known Manufacturer Disadvantages: A bit big for home use in a small room
I purchased th C1100 on offer in Staples and found that the printer to be a bit heavy .The setup procedure was a bit time consuming :- getting all the packing out and then fitting all the toner cartridges and fuser unit.that aside the print quality is very good .I was not too impessed with the manual that installs itself on to the desktop.I had a bit of confusion about which paper i could use the mabual seemed a bit vague on htis so i emailed the support team and the answer came back quickly and well explained.The initial print time is about 10 seconds but following pages are about 2-3 seconds.All in all its a good printer well worth the money. ...
Advantages: Fast, high quality printouts. Disadvantages: Bulky, no real extra features, just a printer.
This is an ideal printer for an office situation, however, due to it's bulk, I wouldn't recommend this for a home printer.
Picture quality
Pretty good, it prints well both in black and white and in colour. The printer prints in A4 which is the size of paper most people prefere to use. It is also capable of printing envelopes of sizes International B5 (176 x 250 mm), International C5 (162 x 229 mm) and International DL (110 x 220 mm) .

Printing speed
Pretty fast, capable of 25 black and white pages per minute and 20 colour pages per minute. This speed was essential in my workplace, where arguments over printing rights are very prone to occour. This printer has certainly made the office a quieter place to be. It is also capable of holding 400 sheets so reloads are not required too often.

Advantages: Superb Colour Quality Disadvantages: Bit big, bit noisy and a bit fiddly
I've lived with ink-jet printers for years. Canon gave me the first bubble-jet and Epson have supplied the later models - various models of Stylus including C80, C84 and C86.
They get heavy use for work and all have given some headaches with clogged heads.
So a mixture of desperation and hope, together with keen pricing, has led me down the colour laser printer road.
The Epson Aculaser may not be a cute laser, but it does work a treat.
Specification
++++++++++
I'll not go into all the technical stuff, it is readily available from Epson's site or any of the dealers.
But what you need to know is that this printer uses a laser and is a 4 pass machine, doing each colour separately.
That makes it a tad slower than single pass machines... but much cheaper.
It uses four toner cartridges - black, magenta, cyan and yellow ...
