My Epson CX3200 did a lot of excellent work for years until the red light came on indicating a scanner error - a common error, it seems. The nearest Express Centre declared that its life had ended so sold me a DX4450 as being "similar" and a replacement for the CX3200. I bought it without researching and based on my Epson experience. Bad move! It packed up after minimal use in the first six weeks and was replaced. It worked for a short time and then had to be replaced again and this time it took about four weeks before I got the replacement. It is not similar and not as good. It is noisy (sounds like all the cogs are lubricated by rocks!), slow and not nearly as easy to use. (I am still using my CX3200 despite being told that it could not be used - albeit without the scanner). It also drinks ink! the box says it uses seperate ink cartridges for economy. What they don't say is that each cartridge lasts for very few copies. It is cheap. Don't buy it - you get what you pay for!
