So naughty epson you could make this pack at least £5-£10 cheaper than individual cartridges available by doing some costing changes
If you just want to do basic printing on mainly non glossy media then you are wasting your money by buying the original cartridges (sorry epson) can't justify the price difference even though the inks in T0487 are better than compatibles for such works.
The complete set of 6 ink cartridges in boxed T0487 costs around £55 in many stores on the internet, Tesco direct offer £54.97 plus you get 54 club points

HOWEVER:
If you want professional results especially with photographs and images,drawings etc then please I would have to recommend that you only use the original epson T0487 for your printing needs the colour is much more vibrant and deep plus more importantly it dries very quickly staying put on the paper, this isn't so noticable on matt, copy, or even semi gloss but you try to use inferior inks on glossy then you are just throwing your money down the drain.
the Epson T0487 inks will dry almost immediately and will not seperate (LIKE OIL & WATER) unlike inferior refills/comapatibles etc even when the paper says instant dry only the original epson T0487 inks will provide the quality that one would expect.
PHOTO QUALITY - buy the original T0487 inks as they provide superb coverage with their 13ml per cartridge as opposed to many that only offer 7-8ml of ink they do go a long way, the colours are striking with excellence vibrancy and the black is rich and deep. A must have for photographic and other imaging works that require excellent quality and pleasing aesthetic finish.
TEXT etc. - buy compatible inks but be aware most of these inks will not be of the standard of the original and will not be suitable quality for printing on heavily coated surfaces such as glossy photo paper
These inks are designed for photo printers so if you are doing more basic printing then it may be worth buying a general printer too so as not to waste ink/paper & keeping the overall costs down.
Epson get your prices lowered and more people will be buying the original T0487 ink cartridges which are necessary to get the photo quality results from photo printers. If you do not use the originals in your photo printer I do definitely suggest that you do & compare the quality as the difference is huge.

I had previously tried to save a few pounds by using cheap replacement cartridges with decidely mixed reults and finally decided that rather than make do with poor quality photos I'd pay the price for the right product and be more selective with what I printed 8o)
