This printer takes 4 separate inks.
This comes in handy when just one colour gets low.

I print off a lot of photographs so it is not just the black ink that runs out but the coloured ones as well.
When we first had the printer we did notice that some non epson inks were cheaper and we did think of buying them. We were then informed that if we used these on this printer that was still under guarantee they might refuse to honour the guarantee as we had not used their own brand of ink.

Before you buy the multipack though it really is worth looking around to find the cheapest site or shop selling it.
For instance, and I expect a lot of dooyoo readers will not be in the bit surprised by this, is that PC World is quite expensive. In fact £7 or £8 more expensive.
Of all places to find exactly the same product and at the cheapest price was yes Tescos at £22.00. Plus of course you do get tesco card points!
Yes even that sounds a lot of money but if you break it down to price each that is um £5.50 each which isnt bad.
The Epson TO715 pack is for Epson Stylus D78/D92/D120/DX4000/DX4050,DX4400/DX4450/DX5000/DX5060/DX6000/DX6050/DX7000F/DX7400/DX7450/DX8400/DX8450/DX9400F/S20/SX100/SX105/SX200/SX205/SX400/SX405/SX600FW
Epson Stylus Office: B40W?BX300F/BX600FW
The inks are
Black T0711 Cyan T0712 Magenta T0713 Yellow T0714
Each pack comes in a vacuum wrapping and it is worth to not open until you need it.
To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky.
These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled.
How long do they last? Well that is like how long is a piece of string as it really does depend on the amount of printing that you do. The colours are all sharp and good though.
Summary
It is cheaper to buy a pack but in between packs you might have to buy a separate black if you do a lot of letter printing. There is no mess whatsoever putting the cartridges in and it is so simple.

Review of Epson Multipack T0715 - print cartridge (C13T07154010)
Advantages: Clear colours Disadvantages: A bit pricey
...when they work!We bought an Epson DX4000 a couple of years ago after problems with our HP printer. It was reduced in Tesco and as it is a photo copier and printer we thought it was a bargain but decided to check out the cost of the cartridges before buying. We have used various makes of cartridges over the years for previous printers but had been having problems and always having to clean to get good printing so we were wasting ink. We got sample ... ...ones we tried. Epson recommend that you only use their products but I have used Tesco's compatible cartridges with good results but after problems using refills before I really like to stick with Epson or Tesco now. I make cards for a hobby and print a lot of sheets for decoupage on Photo paper plus photographs for Scrapbooking which is another hobby, our printer is in use nearly everyday and whether I use ordinary paper, card or photo paper the ...

Advantages: last long, can be bought from many electrical shops, uses Durabrite ultra Ink Disadvantages: a bit expensive when outght as a multi pack
...just recently bought a new Epson stylus DX7400 printer as our old one stopped printing for some reason. Our new printer takes the T series Epson ink. To make everything a bit easier we just bought a T0715 multi pack ink package which comes with four ink cartridges. The T0715 can also be used with other Epson stylus models including the DX4450, DX4000, DX9400F, DX4050 etc. The Epson T0715 will come with four colour ink cartridges. This includes the ... ...the yellow colour.
The Epson T0715 multi pack is rather expensive as we bought it for £29.99 in PC world, I guess its not that expensive if you divide that by four, as it will work out to be around £7.50 per cartridge, which I think is not too bad considering the quality of these cartridges but I have seen the individual cartridges being sold for less. The inks will come packaged in a thick plastic container which is rather hard to open by hand, ...

Advantages: superb quality printing, non fade/smudge Disadvantages: n/a
...cheap ink refills in our epson printer and seeing the loss of quality, I opted to buy the real deal and get this multipack of epson inks that are compatible with our printer. I was a little worried that I was paying too much for this multipack considering it was just under £28 but when you divide this by the amount of cartridges it works out about £7 per cartridge which isnt too bad for ink in the grand scheme of things. I used to have to perform ... ...the poor quality ink refills that I used, but now using the genuine cartridges the difference is night and day. You get four colours in the box - Cyan, Magenta, Black and Yellow, with the black ink having a slightly bigger capacity than the others as it gets used more often. The cartridges are so simple to install after removing them from the packaging, just dont touch the little electronic chip on the base of the cartridge when you are installing ...

Advantages: convenient to have each colour Disadvantages: another black cartridge would be useful
...runs out first. If Epson wanted to improve this product they should include two black cartridges in the multipack.
The cartridges are easy to insert into and remove from my printer. It is worth remembering that when the printer says the cartridges are empty there is still probably plenty of capacity to print left and this warning can be ignored for some time to make this product last longer. All in all this multipack is a reasonable product which ...
