I own the Epsom DX 5050printer which uses these ink cartridges and have been using this product for about 14 months.
Firstly these multipacks are easy to spot on-line or in a shop because Epsom have used animals on the front of the packaging. This means that you do not have to read every pack in the store to find the cartridges you want, you just need to look for the picture of the big cat. This is particularly useful when you can't remember the actual numbers of the cartridges (and we have all done that!) or if reading is difficult for you. Too many IT manufacturers assume that all computer literate people are word literate too. well done Epson.
The multi pack consists of one black, one cyan, one magenta and one yellow ink cartridge. The TO711, 712,713, and 714. Epsom call their ink Durabrite Ultra ink. There is no doubt that the quality of print produced using these cartridges is good but if you are just printing off information to read and throw rather than to keep and show you may find this product expensive because the cheapest price I have got it for is about £14 on line and then I have had to find p&p too.
The product lasts a reasonable amount of time and as you would expect it is the black that runs out first. If Epson wanted to improve this product they should include two black cartridges in the multipack.
The cartridges are easy to insert into and remove from my printer. It is worth remembering that when the printer says the cartridges are empty there is still probably plenty of capacity to print left and this warning can be ignored for some time to make this product last longer. All in all this multipack is a reasonable product which is worth buying if you like the reassurance of the name, if you want to save money on buying the individual cartridges and just so you have a spare of every colour that you need when the ink runs out at 11pm on a Sunday night
