On 2 March will celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. I have 3 children and 2 grandchildren with the third expected in May. Thank you for reading my opinions and I will try and read yours
This comes in handy when just one colour gets low.
I know its low because when I go to do some printing I will get a low ink flashing sign come up and it will then show me how much ink is left and roughly how much copying I can do before it finally runs out. It will also tell me which ink is low.
I print off a lot of photographs so it is not just the black ink that runs out but the coloured ones as well.
When we first had the printer we did notice that some non epson inks were cheaper and we did think of buying them. We were then informed that if we used these on this printer that was still under guarantee they might refuse to honour the guarantee as we had not used their own brand of ink.
We therefore decided to stick to Epson ink at least until the guarantee was up.
Before you buy the multipack though it really is worth looking around to find the cheapest site or shop selling it.
For instance, and I expect a lot of dooyoo readers will not be in the bit surprised by this, is that PC World is quite expensive. In fact £7 or £8 more expensive.
Of all places to find exactly the same product and at the cheapest price was yes Tescos at £22.00. Plus of course you do get tesco card points!
Yes even that sounds a lot of money but if you break it down to price each that is um £5.50 each which isnt bad.
The Epson TO715 pack is for Epson Stylus D78/D92/D120/DX4000/DX4050,DX4400/DX4450/DX5000/DX5060/DX6000/DX6050/DX7000F/DX7400/DX7450/DX8400/DX8450/DX9400F/S20/SX100/SX105/SX200/SX205/SX400/SX405/SX600FW
Each pack comes in a vacuum wrapping and it is worth to not open until you need it.
To use you just pull off the yellow strip and just drop it into your printer. It really is as simple as that. Instructions do say to shake the ink cartridge 4 or 5 times before putting it in but I have forgotten to do that and panic stations, but it made absolutely no difference that I could see but perhaps I was just lucky.
These cartridges cannot be refilled and I have not yet seen any recycling place that it happy to receive them - probably just because they cannot be refilled.
How long do they last? Well that is like how long is a piece of string as it really does depend on the amount of printing that you do. The colours are all sharp and good though.
Summary
It is cheaper to buy a pack but in between packs you might have to buy a separate black if you do a lot of letter printing. There is no mess whatsoever putting the cartridges in and it is so simple.
