Advantages: Excellent Quality Photos - Easy Controls -Excellent Price - Wi Fi - Good Looking. Disadvantages: Poor print in draft mode ( easily overcome) - paper drawer seems a bit flimsy.
The Epson Stylus Photo PX710W Multifunctional Printer is, according to Epson themselves, a so-called refresh model of the earlier PX700w model.
To begin with,i want to point out the following :-
While searching for the EpsonPX700W (price at Epson £149.99) i found that it was being discontinued at most outlets and replaced by the PX710W refresh model,(priced at £199.95 at Epson)
On comparing the Technical Specifications between each of the models i could not spot any difference to justify a £50 difference in the 2 models,so i contacted Epson to ask what the difference was between the models,they replied that the PX710W was a refresh model with a slightly faster print speed.WRONG,WRONG,WRONG !!!. There was absolutely no difference at all between the 2 models in any of the Technical Specifications.
I contacted Epson again to point this ...

Printers are marvellous things when they work!We bought an Epson DX4000 a couple of years ago after problems with our HP printer. It was reduced in Tesco and as it is a photo copier and printer we thought it was a bargain but decided to check out the cost of the cartridges before buying.
We have used various makes of cartridges over the years for previous printers but had been having problems and always having to clean to get good printing so we were wasting ink.
We got sample size cartridges with the printer but bought a Multipack so we were ready when a replacement was needed. The Multipack has 4 cartridges, 1 of each black, yellow, magenta and cyan. The box is blue with a picture of a Cheetah and is in the Cheetah range, there are other ranges like Monkey. Hummingbird and Seahorse makinh it easy to spot the one you want to buy ...
Advantages: cheaper to buy 4 but can also buy singly Disadvantages: you have to look around for the cheapest as prices do vary

For instance, and I expect a lot of dooyoo readers will not be in the bit surprised by this, is that PC World is quite expensive. In fact £7 or £8 more expensive.
Of all places to find exactly the same product and at the cheapest price was yes Tescos at £22.00. Plus of course you do get tesco card points!
Yes even that sounds a lot of money but if you break it down to price each that is um £5.50 each which isnt bad.
