We bought our computer a couple of years ago and to be honest i was always a hp sort of guy. it matched my computer. all my friends had started to get Epson printers and i felt a little left out. i searched a few shops to see what the prices were and i found that the average could be between 59.99 to 79.99 depending on what store you went to, some had special offers on at the time.
The paper is fed through the back of the printer on a tray at the front.
When you first load the disk, it leads you through everything that you wanted to know and you cant really go wrong along its installment. Epson printer inks go thro a charging the ink filter and it will prompt you to clean the ink heads and test. also if along the way you are printing something a message will come up and you can clean or charge your inks whenever.
In the end what decided to make me stay with Epson ws the fact the cartridges were fairly cheap to replace even at Epson prices where as my old hp was nearly £60 a time. I can quite easily get cheap cartridges for £10 a set for this printer.
Now my printer sits on top of my computer on a shelf and it is quite noisy and sometimes it makes my computer shake. However i have also had it at the side of my computer where its perfectly fine.
There is a large sheet of paper inside telling you about installation and trouble shooting problems that you might have.
Its very easy cable wise to connect up and also the on off buttons are on the right hand side. Just one thing i would say is make sure you have the right cables for your computer and the printer as when we got home we found we had the incorrect one and had to return to the shop to buy another cable.
the print quaility is good and is sufficeint for home use and school.university work...
im a converted epson printer person now and just recently we managed to pick up a c44 epson for £20 at a computer shop which had them on offer. The shop told us printers are now becoming throwaway objects, so carefully consider the price of what you pay and search around the internet and shops for different offers.

We are loooking for a new printer yet again as the kids like to create paper-jams and then they seem to be "kaputt" in our house. This one sounds good. TK

A good start, but needs more detail such as the product specs, and how it performs on different documents? Steve
Advantages: fast, quality prints, photos and documents, the ink lasts and it is very cheap Disadvantages: comes with no USB cables and printer leads and can be a bit noisy
