Ever since purchasing this all-in-one, I have had a huge number of problems and difficulties!!! Firstly, the initial installation of the machine was troublesome, as the program interface is quite hard to work around. Then after about 2 months of normal funtioning, the magenta ink cartridge stopped working - I tried 3 different genuine magenta cartridges and it still won't work!'. The latest problem I have encountered was when I replaced the yellow ink cartridge and was greeted with an error message. so I took it out and replaced it again, and I got the same thing. I have been through 3 yellow ink cartridges doing the same thing, and the message remains the same.

So if you decide to chance the machine, then here is a list of the features you can explore - black and white or colour copying - ability to alter the lightness/darkness of copies - ability to zoom in and out to a range of sizes when copying - high quality photo/picture printing - borderfree printing - Epson MicroPiezoT technology producing an optimised print resolution of 5760 dpi - printing speed of up to 22ppm black text - 1200 x 2400dpi scanning

...only thing to be aware of is that you could loose some of the print quality. Personally I buy original Epson colour cartridges and black aftermarket cartridge. I have had this printer for over two years now and have never had any problems and could not be happier! ...

Advantages: Excellent Photo and Document Prints, Black+White and colour scanning Disadvantages: Takes up a lot of space and needs 4 types of ink cartridges
The Epson Stylus CX5400 is an excellent quality printer with settings to adjust the quality for rough or neat drafts of word. Possibly its only draw backs are its size if you want a printer for home this is probably not the printer for you but it is perfect for buisness because it comes equipped with a scanner for making copys of important documents for meetings etc... The other Drawback is that it uses 4 ink cartridges one black, a cyan, magenta ...
