Advantages: STYLISH,WELL ENGINEERED, GOOD QUALITY PRINTING AND COPYING. Disadvantages: I HAVE FOUND NONE IN ALMOST 4 YEARS!!
THE EPSON STYLUS CX6600 MULTI-FUNCTION PRINTER.
My last review was of the Epson Stylus R265. In that review I also mentioned that I had one for about four years that had been trouble free. THIS IS THE ONE!!. I am delighted that I purchased this model for my scanning, faxing, photographic printing requirements. Regarding the design, there are no square corners! It has a nicely rounded and an asthetically pleasing.

The high resolution scanning on the multi-printer cannot be faulted, the scanned to PC results are indeed as good if not better than the original photograph or document. The images can be increased or decreased in size from the original by percentage. So very useful.

I purchased this model for the princely sum of £99.99. I honestly think this printer will outlive me! For a multi-printer it has everything except that I have to put the paper in! LOL! Well I recommend this one to anyone that needs this kind of office or home printer with its good average printing speed (see specifications). The print quality is always good. The ink usage is good. The ease of use I would give 4 out of 5 but to be honest, it is a complex printer since it does 7 different operations. Also this model, the EPSON STYLUS CX6600, does print good photographs and the photo-copy results on glossy photo papers is good too.

At the front of the printer there is a built in card reader for your camera flash cards or anything else, since as a card reader it can also show the files on your PC whatever they are. Of course the printer will see a list of pictures on the flash card and at a command will print you sheets of "proofs" at any pre-set size you want and more!
The control panel layout is fairly simple, many of the operations are done in the window of the Printer panels on your PC but naturally there will be times when you want to press some buttons? Yes! What would we do without buttons to press! The layout of the "driving panel" on the printer is set out in a very logical manner. First time around you will need the "book of words". I admit that I do tend to be hands on first and then get the operator manual second. There is a small LCD panel that shows setup information and there is a 0 to 1 panel to dial in the amount of photo-copies you might want as well as a button for just black printing and another for colour printing that is for photo-copy printing.
I do love this printer, it is solidly built and well engineered as well as a super design that works well and looks great. Thank you EPSON for this particular model. It has very pleasing features in just about all aspects as a multi-printer. If it had incorperated a DVD/CD printing tray too, I would be really overcome with delight. That, however is asking just a bit too much. EPSON ENGINEERS, how about it then?
Additional info: The Printer has a USB connection for PC which is supplied with the printer and is usual nowadays. The older kind of parallel port attachment method using 25 pin "D" plug type Line-port to the printer's Centronics socket can still be found but are more or less being phased out.
A Wonderful printer indeed! Thank you for reading my review on this super Epson Stylus Mult- printer the model CX6600.
Advantages: Does everything brilliantly, faultless. Disadvantages: Big, but this is a small price to pay for such an excellent machine.
I purchased the Epson CX 6600 to replace a HP PSC1315 that had broke after only 2 weeks use, but they are apparantly not the most reliable printers by far, as I found out by reading a lot of info about HP printers on the web (just wish I had done this before I had bought it). I was a bit nervous at first about getting this printer as it is not that small. But you have got to remember that there is a scanner, printer, photocopier in this machine, but ... ...machines on your desk. But this is a small price to pay for such an excellent machine. A nice idea on this printer is that you feed the USB cable underneath the scanner and it plugs in under there, it would have been nice to see the power cable going the same way, maybe on the next model. The scanner is in the usual position on the top, which I have to say gives excellent quality scans (I was amazed at the quality) it give excellent detail in its scans ...

Advantages: Excellent quality, quick print speeds, great ink economy. Disadvantages: Its a bit on the big side, but it is does everything you need.
I bought this about 4 months ago from the Argos, I paid £150 for this printer (its currently about £100), which was about the middle price range at that current time. I chose it because it had the best options for its price, and a friend of mine had the one below it and said that that was excellent so I went ahead and bought it.
First off, this printer is amazing! It is easily the best printer I have ever owned, and I've owned Hewlett Packard, Epson, ... ...all in every area. It does everything I need, and probably more that I just haven't got round to needed yet. So I guess you want to know more about its features...
The print quality is superb, on all settings. Even on draft it prints better than on the Canon inkjet on high quality! On draft it can print out a page of text in about 3-5 seconds after spooling (which depends on your computer speed). This is the fastest print speed I've seen on a printer ...

Advantages: Fast Printing & Scanning, Lots of Features, Ease of use, Quiet Disadvantages: Bulky, but cant argue for the price or quality
After having the Epson CX3200 for about a year i decided to upgrade. There was a few choices out there but i have always trusted the Epson Brand. I decided to go for the Epson CX6600, and what a great choice. After unpacking the printer out of its HUGE box i was impressed with the design and quality of the printer. The only thing i was annoyed with was the lack of a USB cable, but not many manurfacturers give these with there printers, plus they ... ...on the bulky side but you must remember that it is an all-in-one printer, so it will be a bit bulky. After installing the printer on my PC (Which was a doddle) i decided to start testing it with some pictures. I started off with just a picture of a dog and printed it on normal A4 paper and on normal quality printing. I was very impressed with the quality even using normal quality and normal A4 paper. I then tried printing the same picture on Glossy ...

I love the Epson Stylus, it is easy to use and since it is so cheap to buy I am looking out for another one now, rather than paying a Tech or a Shop to service it. I think it is going to work out about the same price to simply replace it. ...

Advantages: sorry can not recommend any advantages for this Epson model Disadvantages: expensive ink cartridges, stops working totally requiring service at a shop, constant paperjam
...Printers & a friend recommended Epson to me (big mistake) I purchased my Epson CX6600 18 months ago, after using the printer for approx 6 months it displayed printer error "see your documentation & call service if necessary" an Epson outlet service centre replaced the printer, the Second printer has been in my possession approx 12 months & again today it displays the same message, I have a small business & have to say BOTH printers were not used ... ...VERY expensive & overpriced by Epson & of course Epson set the printer default so you ARE UNABLE to use the printer AT ALL until it has been to their service centre! TOTAL RIP OFF & the quality of print & features are nothing startling, stick with HEWLETT PACKARD I say, their equipment is second to none & upmarket to Epson ...

Cheaper cartridges will work, but as DURABrite is unique to a few printers, if you're buying one of the printers above, you'll probablly want to have 'DURABrite Ink' on your shopping list every couple of months (depends how much you use your printer). The cartrdges are pretty much the same as normal ones, where you take it out of it's box, remove the yellow tape, and slide it into place. They also look the same as normal Epson Cartridges, but you'll find out these are much better once you start using them.
