Epson Stylus Color 300

I bought my current PC from Time Computers in 2000 and my Epson Stylus Color 300 printer came with it. The Epson Stylus Color 300 is an ink jet colour printer. It looks quite sleek for its age, but is probably quite bulky by today's standards as most printers nowadays tend to be much smaller. The print quality is generally satisfactory and I cannot really fault it. Sometimes the quality of print-outs will appear slightly grainy, but this is normally resolved if you clean the ink filter first. NO! I have got my first inkjet colour printer (I've always been behind the times when it comes to technology!). I acquired this as a hand-me-down (or hand-me-sideways!) so I'm afraid I have no idea of the price of the printer itself. The following report shows only my experiences and describes the printer not! And that, because it prescribes in such a way ciao.com. I did not buy this printer, but it was my father. It arrived in a small box that said: do not open until your computer is fully set up. In the instruction manual, it said connect your printer before you switch the computer on. Oh, and the power cable was missing. OK.. The power cable arrived in the post and it was time to print the first document. A page. Took a minute to print. To start with my printer came in a package deal with PC World. The printer is a colour inkjet printer, the quality is not brilliant and the speed is slower than a turtle. But to be fair i dont do that much printing apart from the odd letter, so i dont need to replace it. Until now, Why? Well the price of replacement cartridges is amazing, to replace the cartridge with a pucker Epson one is £21.99 from PC world. I would have got the own brand but PC World do not sell one for the Epson 300 Stylus. So off to search the internet for cheaper cartridges, the best i could find was on ebay.co.uk. This ... more
