Advantages Advantages Reliable, straight forward to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Output tray a bit too flimsy

So eventually the torture is over, I've bitten the bullet and brought another A3+ Epson after one too many torturous moments of trying to cajole my Epson 1520 into action! Following past Epson experiences I didn't expect to ever be persuaded to buy another one, but somehow it just happened! With a lack of choice in the A3+ inkjet printer affordable ranges, I reluctantly invested more money into the Epson empire. Although, now that I have this one I have to say my thoughts have changed. Sometimes it's worth giving that second chance in life…. Even to printer manufacturers! Price: There seems ... more

Advantages Advantages Print Quality, larger Size paper, good software included.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Noisy when printing, cartridges run out quickly.

I am an artist and was after a printer to make high quality prints at home. After much research and reading reviews I decided to purchase my Epson Stylus Photo R1800. Overall I have been extremely pleased. The price is a tad high but if you are using it like I am then it can save you a huge amount of money in the long run. For my prints I need to achieve the highest quality I can, my R1800 has passed with flying colours. Photographs come out crisp and sharp, the colours are near perfect and are very bright. For my paintings I have been extremely happy with the results, the prints look ... more

Advantages Advantages A3, brilliant quality, versatile, speedy

    Disadvantages Disadvantages high maintenance

Recently, my company needed sever A3 posters printed up, and they left me with the task of finding a printer to do the job. It was high time we bought a new A3 printer, and we wanted one which could produce photo-quality print jobs, and so, on recommendation, we purchased the Epson Stylus Photo R1800. Nearly all photo printers are designed with A4 or smaller in mine, so when I heard that this printer from Epson printed A3 I went out and bought it straight away, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. And don't worry, this machine doesn't only support A3 paper, you can adjust the paper ... more

    Advantages Advantages Great quality prints

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Ink costs

I bought this printer after putting up with my old Canon A3 for too long. After a few years of constant maintinence and vast ink and repair bills, I decided it may be time for a change. I chose this printer for its pretty top notch reviews already around, but I still did not expect it to be quite such a great buy. 6 months on, it still runs like a charm, outputting sheet after sheet of perfect photos. The looks of it are pretty sturdy - no flimsy easily breakable bits as far as I can see. It comes with a spring loaded tray to avoid any expensive crashes that can occur, you dont get the feeling ... more

Advantages Advantages Ease of use, quality, paper size

Disadvantages Disadvantages Small ink tanks, Inks run out quite quickly, No LCD display

Superb Printer, really impressed. Just bought this photographic printer for £340 and am really impressed with quality and ease of use. The printer has 8 seperate ink tanks which saves on replacing inks. Both black and colour ink resolutuion are a good 5760x x1440 dpi. Printer can be used with either hi-speed Usb or Firewire. Printer also uses a Hi-Gloss optimizer cartridge for extra print quality. Can handle A3+ size paper. I purchase my inks from the internet and cost around £12.00 each for colour and black cartridge and £6.40 for Gloss opimizer. These are epson original replacements. Printer ... more
