Advantages: Reliable, straight forward to use Disadvantages: Output tray a bit too flimsy
...bullet and brought another A3+ Epson after one too many torturous moments of trying to cajole my Epson 1520 into action! Following past Epson experiences I didn't expect to ever be persuaded to buy another one, but somehow it just happened! With a lack of choice in the A3+ inkjet printer affordable ranges, I reluctantly invested more money into the Epson empire. Although, now that I have this one I have to say my thoughts have changed. Sometimes ... ...not included. In this printer, Epson have done the printer version of just that. Although they have happily provided a power cable, set up guide, all of the printers add on paper holders, all 8 cartridges and even some sample sheets of paper they did not provided a USB cable. So after all of the unwrapping, assembling and excitement of the new printer arriving I ended up having to head over to a stationary shop and purchase a £3 lead! Why Epson, ...

Advantages: A3, brilliant quality, versatile, speedy Disadvantages: high maintenance
...on recommendation, we purchased the Epson Stylus Photo R1800.
Nearly all photo printers are designed with A4 or smaller in mine, so when I heard that this printer from Epson printed A3 I went out and bought it straight away, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. And don't worry, this machine doesn't only support A3 paper, you can adjust the paper guides for any paper size from 15cm x 10cm prints, through A4 and A3, to A3+, which measures 19 ... ...part. Just like any other Epson photo series, all you have to do is link it up to your machine or print server, plug in the 8 ink tanks and then let it do the rest.
The most impressive feature of this printer I have so-far discovered is the speed at which it can produce a full-colour AS printout, in a non-photo quality print mode. It can churn out a page in well under a minute, and the quality is by far good enough for things such as a school project ...

Advantages: Great quality prints Disadvantages: Ink costs
I bought this printer after putting up with my old Canon A3 for too long. After a few years of constant maintinence and vast ink and repair bills, I decided it may be time for a change. I chose this printer for its pretty top notch reviews already around, but I still did not expect it to be quite such a great buy. 6 months on, it still runs like a charm, outputting sheet after sheet of perfect photos.
The looks of it are pretty sturdy - no flimsy ... ...comes with a spring loaded tray to avoid any expensive crashes that can occur, you dont get the feeling that theyv'e skimped on any bits to save money.
The most important part of the printer for me and for most is the picture quality - and be assured, it has absolutely no problems in that department. High quality, clear, rich prints are all that I have experienced from this machine from a range of media and paper sizes. I have only ever needed to ...

Advantages: Ease of use, quality, paper size Disadvantages: Small ink tanks, Inks run out quite quickly, No LCD display
...for Gloss opimizer. These are epson original replacements. Printer is quiet and easy to use but I prefer a hard copy manual and not on computer pdf supplied on disk. This printer also prints onto printable Cd/Dvd's and comes with accessories to you allow to do this. It also came with a full set of full inks. My previous printers have only come with 50% full inks. Printer utility disks are usefull and allow easy print head cleaning and nozzle checks ... ...the buttons on the printer. One disadvantage is the lack of LCD display. I prefer to be able to see ink levels and printing information on the display as my printer is situated away from my pc. Printing speed is a little slow but I really dont mind if the quality is as good as this. Overall I would recommend this printer due to its excellent quality and value for money, printable size up to A3+. The only disadvantage I could find is that the inks ...
