Advantages: If you are intending of buying a new printer every year then buy the Epson CX5200 Disadvantages: So many problems with this printer . Just Google "Epson CX5200 error" and read for youself.
...You have probably read the earlier reviews telling you how good the Epson CX5200 is for printing and scanning, but just wait till your 12 month warranty runs out and thats when the fun will begin. This printer is gauranteed to break after 1 year. Just Google "Epson CX5200 error" and you will find tons of complaints for this printer.
The Epson UK customer service is useless and will either offer you to fix it for a small fee of £80 or give you an upgrade for another additional charge. Also, in the US there was even a class action lawsuit againt Epson for their printers indicating empty ink cartridges all the time even after new cartridges were installed.
My opinion, do not buy Epson printers. Yes they are cheaper than Canon or HP but there is definitely a reason for this. Epson build quality is so so poor....

Advantages: Are there any!! Disadvantages: Poor quality
...I bought this product when my previous Epson printer finally died. I thought I would have no worries after all it was an Epson! Was I wrong or was I wrong.
The quality of the printing is fairly good if you are just printing a black word document but the minute you want to print anything with colour or attempt a photograph forget it.
If you haven't used the printer for a few days and go to use it be prepared to have to clean the heads at least half a dozen times before you'll get anything worth talking about but of course in the process of doing that you have used up 1/2 tank of each colour!!
Also have difficulty sometimes with compatible cartridges, sometimes the printer recognises them and sometimes not. Overall I'm very disappointed with its performance....

Advantages: 3in product Disadvantages: many flaws in product by epson and currys not good
...jan2008 my father went to currys and paid £35 for one ( i paid £60 in december in currys) plus £17 for a cable it needed ( insane not to include one in the box) and £25ish for a pack of the 4 seperate inks it needs..told there is some ink in printer but only enough for a few test prints. big flaw by epson is inability for user to choose which drive to place the epson software ( we have a 7gb drive thats the master drive yet a 500gb external drive is where we needed to put it as the c drive is full..so as we had to put 270megabytes of epson software on the c drive our pc will be slower all the time ! epson doesnt say where it instals the software ! ( so a wild goose chase is needed to find it) it failed to print at first..the test ink obviously had no ink at all or was dried up ! ( really anoying epson should include new full ink pack...
