Advantages: Lightweight, quiet, powerfull, thin Disadvantages: Low hard disk capacity, low bright view, no recovery cds
...I bought this laptop in December, 2004. When I turned on it first time I waited about 1 hour for installation.
When I bought that I thougt 40 Gb hard disk space is enough for me. But when I start to use the laptop I see the laptop is using 7 gb for recovery software and also windows installation is using 7 gb. So I think disk space will not enough for anyone who would like to save mp3 and/or video files on their computer.
I am a computer programmer. I should carry my laptop every day from home to the company maybe you do the same. When I put in and out the laptop to the bag I see the laptop has some noise on its own case.
The laptop screen has good view but if you are going to use under spotlight or something which has powerfull light, you will see its light is not enough....

Advantages: Easy to use, Quick enough. Disadvantages: Keys occasionally jam
...I have had my Samsung P28 for over 3 years now, when I got it I wasn't very good with computers, but my knowledge has improved greatly since I have had it.
I have used this laptop lots over the 3 years, and have never dropped it, and the only damage it has is cosmetic on the outside. The original 40GB Hard drive gave up a few weeks ago, and I have since replaced it with a 120GB . I have very few complaints about it, and I have used it extensively over the 3 years.
The only complaint I have is that the keys occasionally jam and need to be unjammed, but this is minor considering the use it gets. I also put the Hard drive failing down to wear and tear too, so I didn't mind replacing it, but I did mind losing my files, as I did before when I had to wipe the Hard Drive a couple of years ago. This is just a lesson to learn about backing...

Advantages: Light Laptop and easy to use, great value with lots of features Disadvantages: Have to press function button to use some keys
...The Acer 1682wlmi, is a perfect notebook/laptop for home users, who don't want a big heafty computer, although the centrino is only 1.6ghz it works as fast if not faster than a standard p4 3ghz proccesor, ive found this when trying tasks against a p4 processor, im told this is because of the way it
works.
The 15.4" widescreen is great for watching movies in bead wherever you want.
The multifuctional dvd-rw drive makes the drive future proof and gives you the ability to make dvd's that will work on almost any dvd players.
Could be slightly lighter though.
The silver and black makes the laptop look stylish
The 512mb ddr ram is great for editing
The 60gb hard drive is split in two drives which is good and sufficnt for video editing (firewire is in ideal place)...

The Dell D series of laptops came out in 2003 to replace the C series laptops (how did they come up with such a catchy name?). The main ranges are the D400, D600 and D800 spot the pattern yet. The D600 is the middle of the range in terms of size, weight more
I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
A fully featured VAIO notebook for under £500. This has to be worth looking into. Sony VAIO Notebooks are famous for being industry leaders but also for being overpriced. Now this Laptop has the quality and stylish look as do all VAIO's but not the price more
This really is what it says it is - Toshiba, the mark of quality and reliability, and Portege, meaning it is portable. The Toshiba Portege is an excellent laptop.
