I am very disappointed with Ernest Jones Jewellers due to my experience when returning a diamond ring for the second time because one of the diamonds had fallen out of the same setting and been lost. I purchased the ring 15 years ago for £750.00. The ring is a solitaire with three diamonds on each shoulder. One of the diamonds fell out and was lost five years ago and I paid about £80 to have the ring repaired. The same diamond has recently fallen out again, so clearly the setting was faulty. Ernest Jones in Staines quoted me £252.00 to repair the ring. I wrote a long letter to their head office in Hunters Road, Birmingham, and after one month had not received a reply. I then sent an e-mail to their Customer Services who phoned me to say that Head Office had said that they only guarantee a repair for one year and therefore they would not replace the diamond free of charge or reduce the cost of the repair. I always regarded Ernest Jones as a prestigious jewellers because they sell the higher range of products, however, they clearly have little regard for their customers or maintaining a good reputation. All I can say is "Buyer Beware"!
