Save a fortune on take out coffee
Review of Gaggia Espresso by cazk

Advantages: makes delicious cappucinos
Disadvantages: cleaning is fiddly

...too expensive to buy a gaggia but when i considered how much money i was spending on take away coffees per week then this is an absolute bargain. I bought this machine one month ago and have used it daily ever since. it makes the most delicious cappucinoo which rivals all of the main coffee chain stores offerings. the crema on the top of the espresso it makes is really thick . You can make two espressos at one time or one depending on the size of ...
...machine a coffee scoop ., tamper and instruction manual. to use fill the water tank with cold water, let it heat up, fill the coffee filter with coffee, press the button and hot espresso comes out. Heat the milk using the milk frother- all included in the instruction manual! ... Read review

Crema versus Crema
Review of Magimix Nespresso M200 by PeteLuv

Advantages: Brill flavour, easy to use, perfect consistent results every time
Disadvantages: None

...the bullet and bought the Magimix M200C with auto frother device. If you are looking for a machine that is easy to use, produces consistent results time after time, is a breeze to clean and gives you that perfect taste ala barista in coffee chain, then this machine is for you. I've had about 4 other brand machines in search of my perfect brew. None of them come anywhere close to this machine. In terms of price, yes, there are cheaper machines on ...
...Cappucino afficionado's out there the Magimix M200 C machine comes with a nifty frothing device (again I've had numerous 'so called' frothing devices over the years, and again this one beats them all). A genius piece of engineering means that a little rubber tube goes into your milk bottle and then a selector dial selects between latte and cappucino. Put your cup under the spout, switch over to frothing mode, and 30 seconds later, perfectly frothed ... Read review

Delonghi EC330S Espresso Machine
Review of Delonghi EC330S by nodoubtaboutit

Advantages: well priced, very easy to use
Disadvantages: steam arm is temperamental

I bought the Delonghi EC330S after realising I was slowly emptying my bank account paying for numerous Starbucks' every week (even more after they opened one a two minute walk from my flat). Definite plus point in its appearance, it looks stylish and fits in well in modern kitchens especially. It does make good coffee, and although you need to warm the machine up, once you're used to doing this it really isn't a hassle. Although the previous reviewer ...
...either buy coffee beans and a grinder or buy fresh coffee ground for espresso machines, as pods don't really make the most of having a machine such as this. A disadvantage of having this product are the steam arm is very temperamental and sometimes just doesn't emit much steam (despite being thoroughly cleaned). Also, if you want to make more than 3/4 cups at a time don't bother. It isn't so much the hassle, it's the steam arm - it can't cope with ... Read review

Central Perk at home
Review of Magimix Nespresso M100 by josparkle

Advantages: Great coffee every time, easy to clean up
Disadvantages: Pricey

...exclusive. I chose the Magimix M100 as it was a good brand and had the best deal going. There is very little difference in the design of the Magimix or Krups as far as I could see. For £99 (from Amazon - now £127) I got the machine, a selection box of the 12 coffees and the Aeroccino - a sort of kettle for milk that heats and froths the milk. There was also a further incentive of £30 cashback from Nespresso on buying the machine so for £69 I felt ...
...very compact and takes up less counter space than most machines. Mine is a steel grey with shiny chrome and black fittings but its available in colours from powder blue to a distinctive orange. It has a detachable water container at the bag and the drip tray and coffee collector slip out easily for cleaning. Essentially the system relies on a sealed mini-pot of coffee that you drop into the machine, which is punctured to release the hot water through ... Read review

Mr Stoffer
Review of Morphy Richards 47507 Premium by Stoffer

Advantages: braaly good
Disadvantages: leaks at the froth attachment

An excellent machine if only the froth attachment swivel arm screw had some sort of washer to stop the steam coming rushing out. This is no doubt what happened to the other reviewer's old machine prior to being replaced. My sister in law gave me it, still under guarantee, as it was taking up space and not being used. Spent last night soaking up the mess as the froth attachment leaked everywhere. I eventually made a washer out of a piece of plastic ... Read review
