efficient service
Advantages: friendly and efficient Disadvantages: usually go with private agents so not used to paying fees!
I found a property to rent through the finsbury park office. Found them very helpful and professional, and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for finding me my lovely new house. In the past I've always gone straight to private landlords to avaiod paying the fees. But after my last nightmare house, with cockroaches, rain coming into the house, and many other problems the landlord wasn't in too much of a rush to sort out, decided to ...

It had better sell, or I'll cry.
Advantages: They sold my house, their marketing capacity, they're very friendly Disadvantages: Their costs
~~*~~*~~ Bairstow Eves ~~*~~*~~
Being in the midst of a real move (the last one only involved buying a house and moving all my stuff in the back of me dad's extra large Volvo) whereby I've had to market the ghetto property, comply with all the ridiculous rules and plan my 'Moving Weekend', I feel that although I may be jinxing the entire sale by writing this review, I've experienced just about enough of the estate agent world to write my ever-so-exciting ... ...before. These were not Bairstow Eves but some other estate agents and they were efficient, but bless them, fairly rubbish - In three months, I had two viewings and one of them was a bloke who turned up and announced that he wasn't interested as he didn't like the area - excellent work: not only was Doughnut (rather exuberant chocolate lab) crammed in the car for over 40 mins whilst we waited for the idiot to turn up, but I'd also tidied up which ...

A good experience after some trying times
Advantages: They worked like crazy people to sell my house Disadvantages: The 2.25% was the highest out there but well worth it in the end!
...have read the reviews of Foxtons and thought it only fair to share my experience. I was selling my 1 bed flat, in pretty ordinary condition above a commercial property and on a fairly busy road! Not the greatest place you will ever see or hear about. I had a valuation above what i thought i would get for it but said fine if that is what you think you can get for it then fair enough. The fee they charged was 2.25% and it was non negotiable. I instructed ... ...i was dealing with at Foxtons had phoned me every day to keep me up to speed with what was happening and was even phoning the agent i was buying from to let her know where we were. Foxtons then through every person under the sun in through my front door from 12noon until 10pm some nights - the the guy who had got me the original offer managed to find me another buyer - who had 100% cash and no mortgage. It was a woman buying a rental flat. She understood ...

Spicer haart - An insiders view
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Too many to list
I completely empathise and understand your reviewers comments and complaints about Haart. I worked for the company for two years as a valuer and laterly as a joint branch manager for one of their bigger offices. The company care only about their owners and upper management. They have recently re-employed a senior branch manager who was fired last year for a violent assault on another member of staff and who was also caught (with proof) for selling ... ...cash back hander from the purchaser. All of which the company knew about but have chosen to ignore. The company did not contact the probate solicitors to advise them of what had happened but just brushed the whole thing under the carpet. Another of their branch managers was recently accused of sexual harrassment by another member of staff. This matter went all the way to the doors of the tribunal office before Spicerhaart settled out of court and ...

connells couldnt be bothered
Advantages: none Disadvantages: lack of interest ,never phone you on there own accord
I was really un happy with these estate agent went to view a property with them in halesowen ,When we arrived they couldn't be bothered to introduce them selves or for that couldn't be bothered to show us around the property just looking glum.Made several offers which were good offers and they promise to contact us, yet again couldn't be bothered to do that either. in the end we had to keep on phoning them and felt like we were pestering as they ... ...that the offers were turned down and not from the estate agent and finally we pulled out they had lack of interest ,and felt sorry for the people selling the property through them keep well clear .go with independent estate agents they work harder for there money and they'll keep you up to date was very disappointed ...
