Advantages: Friendly staff who get to know you Disadvantages: If you're buyer they tend to do less for you
*The background of my purchase* I moved house last year and bought a 2 bedroom house through KFH in Bromley. My purchase wasn't too straightforward as I was remortgaging my current home as a buy to let in order to release some equity and fund the purchase of my new house. The flat I was remortgaging was just in my name and the house I was buying was a joint purchase with my brother (who I have now bought out). * Why I used KFH* We started looking ......and where all our friends are and started off online. The usual websites had loads of properties in our price range and most of them were with Langford Russell so we originaly went to them. We found that although we had told them which properties we were interested in they failed to make us appointments and we'd keep missing the boat so when we saw a flat online with KFH we thought we'd give them a try instead. *The service we received* We contacted ... Advantages: THERE ARE NONE Disadvantages: POOR SERVICE HIGH PRICES
Mann Countrywide offer a poor over-priced service to vendors they never return phone calls - do not give feedback from viewers or update you on what they are doing to sell your home! all in all they are lazy and seem to do as little as possible to sell your property! Having had a bad experience with them some 16 years ago like a fool I instructed them to sell our home back in july 07. they dropped our asking price by £40,000 and put us on the market ......could not go out into the garden to view our gym/workshop a lot is just common sense - and a lot of estate agents just ain't got it! so if you have not got the message steer clear of Mann Countrywide - would love to name the branch. - hampshire ... Advantages: None Disadvantages: Awful customer service, selling propertys under offer to other buyers.
...and buy a property through Bairstow eves estate agents in Carshalton, Surrey. I have never come across such poor customer service in any sector like this before. They had a don't care attitude and did not want to put thereselfs out one little bit. They sold the property i had under offer through them to someone else and only decided to tell me a couple of days later. They made all kinds of weak excuses about why my purchase of this property had ......start from square one looking for another property and paying again for solicitor/survey fees. I would not recommend this company for sales or purchases....never thought this would happen to me, as i have used other estates for sales and purchases/rent and never experienced service as poor as Bairstow Eves. ... Advantages: You get shown around lots of properties to rent Disadvantages: Slow , don't do as they say, no intrest in helping you once they have your £
My advice is to never ever use this company unless you have the patience of a saint and don't like your money! We rented a house through Haart and had problems from start to finish. They are very pushy when it comes to getting you to sign on the dotted line. When we moved in the house was in a poor state (broken glass on the floor, holes in the carpet that we were unable to see due to furniture in the house, old appliances that didn't work very ......minor issues). Things didn't work out much better as time went on; given that the house had been "professionally" cleaned prior to us moving in, when we cleaned the carpet after a few months the water came up dirtier than when we cleaned it at the end of our tenancy! Things started to get really bad when (due to the lack of maintenance) some of the fence panels fell down onto the road. After a few weeks another section fell over breaking my wing ... Read review
Advantages: They worked like crazy people to sell my house Disadvantages: The 2.25% was the highest out there but well worth it in the end!
...have read the reviews of Foxtons and thought it only fair to share my experience. I was selling my 1 bed flat, in pretty ordinary condition above a commercial property and on a fairly busy road! Not the greatest place you will ever see or hear about. I had a valuation above what i thought i would get for it but said fine if that is what you think you can get for it then fair enough. The fee they charged was 2.25% and it was non negotiable. I instructed ......i was dealing with at Foxtons had phoned me every day to keep me up to speed with what was happening and was even phoning the agent i was buying from to let her know where we were. Foxtons then through every person under the sun in through my front door from 12noon until 10pm some nights - the the guy who had got me the original offer managed to find me another buyer - who had 100% cash and no mortgage. It was a woman buying a rental flat. She understood ... Read review
