Advantages: Easy to apply, lovely colours, good quality gloss. Disadvantages: The price!
EsteeLauderPure Pops Brush-On Color lip gloss comes in a long, sleek tube which looks great. The tube is clear, (apart from some gold writing and a circular pattern), which allows you to see the colour of the product inside, and how much you have left. Each tube contains 10ml of product.
I have this lip gloss in 'Berry Twist' (I didn't choose this colour myself - I was given it to test). This colour looks like a very pigmented red in the tube, but on the lips it is a gorgeous subtle colour (it looks like a sheer pinkish-red-berry colour). Adding more gloss does give a more pigmented colour, if that's what you prefer. This lip gloss is very glossy, and it contains a lot of subtle red and gold glitter, which is only noticeable if you look really close-up (the particles are very tiny). Advantages: Eyeshadow itself is good, nice range of colours Disadvantages: Packaging is chunky and of very poor quality, particularly at the high price
Conned as usual by the lure of a free bag of goodies if I bought 2 items at the EsteeLauder counter in Debenhams, I picked up one of these PureColorEyeShadowcubes. My drawer has quite a few EsteeLauder items in so I was expecting similarly good quality from this.

The first thing I noticed was that the packaging had changed - it was a cube shaped box instead of the flat little blue compacts I was used to with the predecessor, the Compact Disc EyeShadows. She saw I was a bit put off and assured me that the powder itself was the same one as I had ...
Advantages: Wide range of colours Disadvantages: Chunky package
I love make up and have all sorts of brands, colours and limited editions in my drawers (and of course in boxes under the bed!) so I know a few makes on the market. Unfortunately EsteeLauder is not one of my favourite brands but I suppose their range pleases all ages and has rather classy and warm tones. Their colours are not edgy or mad like the Dior or Givenchy but you will definitely find something you might like if you prefer to stick to natural colours or daytime make up. The texture is pretty average with an average staying power unless you apply it on a humid skin or on top of your moisturizer for a stronger effect and longer duration.
I got one of their eyeshadows as a present from a friend two years ago and was a bit disappointed, yes, have to admit, the little cube makes it rather cute and different but it is ever so ...
