Cocker Load Of This

Advantages: loyalty, friendly to everyone, and obviously they're adorable to look at
Disadvantages: how can you say no to them!

eventually and after vaccinations and everything we were able to play with him properly. Lots of walks short ones at first. Definitely at least one a day minimum! Be warned don't expect to go anywhere in a hurry because everyone will stop and coo over him like he's a new baby. Not that he minded the attention one little bit though! Nowadays he still gets attention because he's still gorgeous, he's lost almost all his puppy coat and is really growing now. He's also growing mischievous though! Cocker Spaniels are very, very intelligent and they can manipulate you to do what they want with ease! Fetch largely consists of him begging for the ball, me throwing it, then me fetching it! or him bringing it to me and then running off again with it! Such a tease! He has rather dug up the garden and the plants have seen better days. But it ...

Cracking Cocker

Advantages: Beautiful and loyal family Pet
Disadvantages: Limited lifespan

Once you have had a cocker you'll have them forever, they're sensitive, loving and anything you could wish for in a dog. She's the best friend I've ever had and is attuned to my every thought. Bess is 9 years young on the 2nd April 2007, a.k.a. this Monday, still a beautiful dog, who is always full of beans. It is very important to keep your cocker slim, Cockers tend to put on weight quickly and this can shorten their lifespan Walking, Bess requires at least an hour of hearty exercise at least once a day but does tend to all on the lead, this is common with all Cockers. It is important to keep them fit and healthy Expenses, keeping the coats in a trimmed fashion can be very expensive, I suggest purchasing WAHL dog grooming clipper kit. With the Cocker especially all injections must be kept up to date. Grooming, I brush Bess ...

Not just a gun dog

Advantages: Friendly, loyal family pet
Disadvantages: None

with young children. They're very loyal and relatively low maintenance. Cody likes to be taken out on a few walks a week, if no one has time, a run around the garden suffices. Cockers, being traditionally bred as gun dogs, are very active and alert. They love to play games and Cody has more toys than she perhaps should have. Sometimes her behaviour when playing can only be described as mad, but all in a good way- it's great entertainment! Health problems associated with this breed include ear infections and problems with legs later on in life. As Cody's only 4, I can't account for the latter, but she has experienced a lot of ear trouble in the past. Cleaning her ears out regularly helps, and the drops are available from the vets usually settle the problem. Generally, cocker spaniels are quiet dogs. The only time Cody barks is when she sees ...
