A friend recommended me to Euphony several months ago. He said if I signed up I would be able to get cheaper calls than BT and I would get a dialer box. The box cost £10 and he said I could return it if I didn't want to use it. I discovered that upon reading their literature, although they are cheaper than BT standard call rates, they are not cheaper than the BT Together call rates. I wanted to send the box back but they said only after I had spent around £100.
I have managed to cancel the service now but they still sent me a reminder for the £2 monthly charge from the month I cancelled.I believe I was mis-sold, as it was told I wouldn't have to pay until I started using the service.
They are a con, selling to easy targets (friends of the referrer). Probably the best way to complain is to put pressure on the friend who sold it to you. Also, if you make an official complaint to them and they don't deal with it to your satisfaction, report them to oftel.
