Advantages: Heats to steam quickly - probably heat of kills germs as steam is hot Disadvantages: Leaves floors very, wet. End up double cleaning everything - covers poor - waste of space!
Not impressed with the H20 steammop product, which falls far short of the detailed TV advert performance.
On hardfloors it leaves them sopping wet, not so much of a problem on a matt finish amtico type floor but with laminate, there's no way you could leave it .
Ended up with twice the work, having to use my superwonder mop to wipe all excess water to leave floor with decent finish when dry.
Even on clean carpet which is just being freshened to kill any germs that might be in the carpet, it seems to roll any dirt in almost fluff balls which then have to be vacuumed again when it dries. It seems to double the work involved whatever the surface.
The covers provided are also pretty poor in fit and quality with a tendency to come off - difficult to put back on with heat. Also they seem to fall to bits somewhat (particulary ...

Advantages: Totally automatic adjustment and fault shutdown, quiet Disadvantages: Slow adjustment when changing floor type, short hose supplied, few tools.
I liked the built in tools and 'ever-ready' hose and, having had my fill of burnt out Dyson drive belts and continued need of powerful brushes the 'permanent drive belt' aspect appealed to me alongside the automatic height adjustment.
The slow response of the automatic height adjuster began to cause problems when switching between flooring types because although the suction is good (not incredible) the brush flicks bits of dirt around hardfloors- this is our problem really as we live in an old house with slightly uneven floors.
The bags are big, really easy and clean to change and easily found in all of our local shops. The only problem i found is that the tools supplied seem to be orientated for stair use but the hose supplied only reaches halfway up the first flight. ...

Advantages: no chemicals Disadvantages: didnt work well
I found the H2O mop does not work well like they show on the commercials. I found it didn't glide easily across the floor and it didn't clean well like it says. It's stated to hold over the dirty/stained area for a couple minutes for hard to remove stains and after more than 10 minutes it was still not any cleaner. I also found the cloth cover did not come very clean after a wash. If it actually worked as well as it is supposed to the $100 cost would be well worth it. I personally don't reccomend this product for carpet areas although I did not try it on hardwood floors. It's supposed to work well on heavier stains and with my experience it did not even work well on a light stain. ...
