Advantages: Share your cable broadband connection Disadvantages: Requires a bit of technical skill
a 'Webstar' cable modem which presents an ethernet connection to my house, you plug a patch cable into your PC and away you go, the troubles only start when you want to add a second, third fourth or subsequent connection.
The simplest way to arrange for this is to fit an ethernet card in each of your PC systems, and plug in one computer at a time - unfortunately only one system can use the link, and it's only a matter of time before two people want to connect, and the arguments start all over again.
Microsoft offer an 'Internet connection sharing' facility - but this means you have to install two network cards into one PC, set up the software, and still need to buy a hub.
Personally, I found this a bit tedious, not least of all because you need to make sure the 'sharing' PC is on whenever anybody else wants to use the connection, but it ...
Advantages: Lasts for ages, tastes quite nice Disadvantages: Quite Expensive
I'm quite a big fan of lipgloss as opposed to lipstick, I find that it lasts longer and generally 'tastes' better. After receiving the No7 'Liplicious' liplgoss for Christmas one year I decided to go ahead and spend the cash on the trendy Lancome 'Juicy Tubes' lipgloss.
The first thing you find is that it is quite expensive. Boots retails 15ml of Juicy Tube for £13.50 while you can cut the cost slightly on sites such as buycosmetics.com who sell 15ml for £10.95.
I purchased my Juicy Tubes from duty free in the form of 7ml mini tubes, and I got 5 tubes for £20.
What I noticed when using this lipgloss is that you only need to use a small quantity when applying - a little goes a long way. It stays in place for a good length of time, I can put mine on before I go to work and have two or three drinks before it needs touching ...
Advantages: Ways to find it cheaper, good brand, lots of colours to choose from, raved about by everybody Disadvantages: Expensive even when bought from cheaper places, sticky, comes off easily
Since the day Juicy Tubes were launched Ive lusted after them. Even me, whos been known to spend 35 quid on some face gel with little bits of gold leaf suspended in it, couldnt bring myself to fork out £12 quid for a 15ml tube.
Everybody raves about Juicy Tubes, saying theyre the best lipgloss around. Theyre one of the best selling lipglosses ever and this is reflected by the fact that its one of the few products that Lancome havent discontinued, they always discontinue products after a certain amount of time and its sooo frustrating when youve found something you love!
So anyway, browsing through eBay I came across a seller who had somehow managed to get hold of some Juicy Tubed stock and was selling them at around £8.50 for a single tube and £18 for a box of three. Of course, I went for three, I got three brand new unopened Juicy ...
