I bought these cloths along with the Eve Lom cleansing balm. Even though you do get a couple with the cleanser, I wanted a few extra in order to alternate and take on holiday with me.
These are basically an alternative to flannels, for those of you who prefer something more soft and you hace sensitive skin. They are specially woven in order to give just the right amount of exfoliation, when used in conjunction with a cleansing balm.
I found that these cloths made my skin feel very soft after exfoliation, but without making it feel too scrubbed and sore, which sometimes happens with flannels. The cloths are about the size of A4 paper; even though they are not especially thin, I prefer to fold them in half when using them to give me a better grip whilst cleansing. Eve Lom states that these should be used with her cleanser (though you can use any cleasning balm, really) and paly a vital part in her DIY facial (see EL cleanser op), which claims to drain lymph nodes and deliver clear skin over time. My skin has definitely improved after using her cleanser and muslin cloths and following the directions of her facial.
It's a good idea to have a few floating around because you're not meant to use it more than twice before washing (they're machine washable) in order to prevent bacteria from spreading. They're not patterned, so aren't particularly attractive hanging in your bathroom! They're just plain, white muslin pieces of material; however, they probably aren't embroidered b/c it would be harsh on skin and defeat the purpose of using them!
I would recommend these to those of you with thin, sensitive skin and don't like the feel of flannels. I use both flannels and these cloths and I have to say that these are more desirable because they are so soft and gentle on your skin. My skin usually feels very sore after exfoliation, but these do give the right amount of exfoliation, so you don't have to worry. I'm not sure how they're "specially woven", but they are very good and soft; I've not used normal muslin cloths on my face, but they are probably less refined and more harsh on your face. I think that these are a good investment though a little expensive-3 cloths for £10. Especially if you use her cleasner too (£68), so it's a high price for good skin!
You can buy these from any Eve lom counter-Space NK/House of Fraser, or check them out at www.evelom.co.uk, and see how they're used with her cleaser and facial!

I've re rated as requested. I must say these are quite expensive. I just tend to stick with soap and water! :) Amanda
