Eve Lom Rescue Mask

I am a big fan of Eve Lom products, as you might know from my earlier reviews. The Rescue Mask is the second biggest selling EL product; it's been in many magazines and had such good reviews that I just had to try it out for myself. This cost me £19.50 (50ml) from Space NK. The packaging is nice; my friend thought that it was plain, but I think that it, as with the rest of her range, is minimalistic and shows you the simplicity and natural philosophy behind her products. I was lucky enough to receive a sample of the Rescue Mask which turned out to be a real treat! Usually I avoid clay based masks as I always break out in angry spots after using them but I had faith in this as its a big selling hit product and a favourite with A listers, I thought it wont give me a break out because if it was capable of such a thing it wouldnt be so popular! I bought this mask after being extremely impressed by the cleanser in the same range. I was a bit dubious about the price, £21.00 for a 50ml pot, but thought that if it was of the same quality as the the rest of the range it would be worth it. I bought the maskdirect from the eve lom website, which is very easy to use and for 50p extra you can get first class delivery. I haven't found this products readily available in high street stores, but apparently it can be found in larger stores like Selfridges. I'm a big fan of the cleansing products in the fabulous Eve Lom range! I have very oily skin but no blemishes luckily...but the oil is pretty hard to control. This is one mask that mops it up a treat! If using for the first time, be careful when opening - its always a little watery on top! (quick note: if the masks starts to dry in the tub after you've had in a while, mix in a little mineral water to loosen it up). The mask is incredibly thick but spreads on easily. I got a sample of this free or else I probably never would have tried it... I had hormonal congested skin and acne and after using this in the recommended manner my skin looked lovely and glowy. It did feel a little tight while using it (I left it on for the full 20 minutes) - but it didn't leave me with any of the dry patches that harsher face masks sometimes do. It didn't make an immense difference to the acne straight away - but by the next morning the spots had gone down considerably (some of them were even gone completely!).
