Thank God I had a lucky escape!!! I needed the whole house double-glazed and called Everest and left my details. I promptly received a call that same day from a salesman who said it would take 2 hours to measure up. I said I did not have that much time that day but would call him myself to reschedule. Needless to say he never let me get back to him and called himself a few days later. I explained we were now looking at other companies that offer sound-proofing secondary glazing to which he replied they had the cheapest on the market.
I was happy to hear that Everest could help me with soundproofing my daughter's bedroom and getting the whole house double glazed and started talking to "John" about my requirements. Part way through the conversation my daughter who was playing in the room (she's only 3 years old) started to make some noise, as children do. I called out to her to play quietly, which she did immediately. I returned to "John" on the phone and apologised for the distraction to which he very helpfully told me "you should have just slapped her". I was gobsmacked and ended the conversation telling "John" I would use another company.
I called their main phone line to complain and the member of staff said she could not locate any "John" and asked if he had been a bogus door-to-door salesman. I even gave her his phone number and she could not locate him. Obviously, I was now really worried and asked her where this person could have got my details from. She said she didn't know but that he was not a member of staff. I insisted on a call back from a Manager.
The Area Manager called and confirmed that "John" was one of their "top salesman" and had worked for Everest for over 30 years. He apologised for "John's" comment but also excused his appalling behaviour by adding that it was simply said in jest, without malice. Needless to say I never placed an order with them and feel like I had a lucky escape. In hindsight it would have been interesting to see how hard "John" would have laughed if I'd suggested punching his wife in the face.

Anonymili I'm afraid I have to strongly disagree. The initial sales process is usually the best part of the service with many companies as it's the stage for them to actually secure the business. In actual fact, the level of service usually goes drastically downhill once the salesperson has got you to sign a legally binding contract.
The company's "work" starts from the second they have contact with you so I certainly do have experience of them. Just because I did not buy the product, does not make my experience any less valid.

Sorry for the rating, whilst I appreciate the salesman was a real jerk who should not speak to customers like that, you don't really have any actual experience of the company's actual work to write a review about :)
Advantages: 10 year no exclusion warranty, free carefree plan without using or claiming on your house insurance. Value and quality for your money Disadvantages: Other companys selling inferior roofing products
