Advantages: It's quite smooth Disadvantages: Too small
I've had my EverGlide mouse pad for a couple of years. As you can see, it's fairly small with the inward part where your wrist goes comfortably. Mine is pretty much the same as this except the title EverGlide in orange on mine is just grey. The text on it (website) is quite worn out and fading away so it says "www.everglide...".

I bought my EverGlide pad for about £20 from the EverGlide website. The reason I bought it was mainly because I played CS a lot and it apparently performs better than a normal "default" pad.
This mousepad is SATISFACTORY for gaming but could be much better I thought. It is a plastic material, once you have it after a few months it will 'wear-out' and become a little smoother than when you first buy it.I use this ... more

I honestly don't think you really need a mouse mat unless you:
use graphical software like Photoshop / Paint Shop Pro play games ... For me, the game Counter-Strike (CS). spend a lot of the time on the computer really hate using the desk or paper, or have some extra money to burn

This mousepad is SATISFACTORY for gaming but could be much better I thought. It is a plastic material, once you have it after a few months it will 'wear-out' and become a little smoother than when you first buy it.I use this pad with the Razor Diamondback mouse on which I've also written a review for. The mousepad I have could definitely be much bigger, this is essentially important for gamers. There's nothing worse than doing so well in a game then next you find yourself falling off the mousepad as somebody comes out and shoots you. I'm fairly accurate at aiming, but this is down to years of using the same combination mouse and mousemat. You might have an excellent mouse but if you have a half-ripped dodgy mousepad or vice versa... you're still going to be in trouble.
I suppose the EverGlide is decent if you don't have much room on your desk.
After looking on the EverGlide website it looks like they're not selling the one I have but it does look like they've decided to get some better ones in and i'm sure i'm not the only one who thought the old pad was too small, so these new ones are much bigger and made out of cloth... which is nice.
I really wish I could provide more information on this but hey... It's just a mouse pad ;)
I haven't actually tried the new ones but I imagine that they're way much better, I cannot say for sure though.
These newer ones are like £29.99. There's also many other products on the EverGlide site so take a look :)
Advantages: Great Responsiveness, Comfortable, Superbly Accurate Disadvantages: Some Useless Buttons, Scrapes on Plastic Mousepads, Bad Drivers
after I ordered it and it was despatched the mouse just seemed to work again, mysterious? Also I've had 2 new computers during the use of this mouse and it can stop responding on new computers sometimes which means you have to unplug from the usb slot and plug back in. This problem isn't major as it goes away after a week. I use this mouse with a mousepad which is the func 1030 £20+ from www.everglide.co.uk which is made of rough plastic. This means sometimes the bottom of the mouse can scrape across the mousepad annoying the hell out of me.
The Logitech Mx500 really is best mouse on the market and really makes the Microsoft mice incredibly obsolete. The mx500 is the most responsive mouse I've ever used and I will continue to use it. The mouse is the Ferrari in the world of mice with Microsoft being the equivalent of a company like daewoo ...
