...I gave my 2GB Kingston flash drive a few months ago and I think it's really great. I can use it for Microsoft Windows Vista ReadyBoost to speed up my PC. It's not too expensive and it has got a life-time warranty. It's really fast and every operating system contents a driver to use it. ...The prices of USB Flash Drives is at record low. Now one can easily purchase a 4 GBdrive less than £ 20. This is very good for the average users. These drives are in the affordability range of almost all users.
This drive is very compact. Its dimensions are:
Width: 66.9 mm
Depth: 20.4 mm
Height: 9 mm
It is also very light, weighing only 11.3 grams, so, you won't even feel it when you are carrying it in your pocket. It support USB 2.0 as well. It is compatible with almost every operating system including Windows Vista.
Although the capacity has increased and price decreased, the performance of these drives is not very impressive. it operates at only 1x speed, which is very slow. Copying a small file is not that much of a task, but when large sized files(e.g. Video files) are copied, it takes a lot of time...
