¤Name: Sidra Mir
¤Age: 20
Gender: F variety
¤ Current living location: Leeds , West Yorkshire
¤ Job description: Student, Checkout Tesco and shopoholic!
¤ Do you have any pets:
Does that include younger brothers? ;) nah I have a white cat called Snowball, named after Snowbell in Stewart Little! He’s so fluffy and cuddly like one of those white shaggy rugs lol. But hes still not allowed in my room because he ruins my coats, the daft thing.
¤ Do you have a partner (or are you single):
I've just come out of a long-term relationship with Mr Pitt :P .
¤ What kind of music do you prefer:
I like abit of everything, Soul, Rock, Rap, HipHop, Bhangra/Indian, RnB, Oldies, Alternative. Ever since I heard Evanescence on Daredevil, I’ve been really into them. Their song My Immortal is so beautiful and haunting.
¤ What’s your favourite song and why:
Hmmm this is difficult..so I’m going to cheat a tad *grin* The following songs are incredibly poignant and evoke a reaction from me every time I listen to them because they remind me of significant events in my life: Al Green - How can you mend a Broken Heart, Aimee Mann - Save me, Police - Every Breath You Take, Mariah Carey - Hero, The Righteous Brothers - Unchained Melody, Sinead O’Connor - Nothing Compares, Charles & Eddie - Would I lie to you, Everything But the Girl - Missing, Joe Cocker - You are So Beautiful, Elvis Costello - She, Tina Turner - Simply the best. OMG I can’t stop so I’ll just move on.
¤ What kind of films do you prefer:
I enjoy romantic comedies, I like the light-relief and not having to use my brain too much lol. I loved How to Lose a Guy in 10 days, its on my to buy list. I also enjoy independent films like Donnie Darko and Whale Rider. They explore the more quirkier aspects (Donnie) of life and portray rich culture (Whale Rider). It’s a delightful change from mainstream films.
¤ What’s your favourite film and why:
*thinks* Well, its a tie between Edward Scissorhands Moulin Rouge and Amelie. Ed, is so imaginative and lovable and Moulin Rouge is excellent entertainment with fabulous songs. Amelie is an amazing film, Amelie herself is such an engaging funny character. I love the wham Bham humorous style of the film.
¤ What kind of TV programmes do you prefer:
I have to have my weekly dose of Will and Grace. Its wickedly witty with its ass-kicking dialogue and unique characters. Karen is so wacky! I also like Dead Like me, a new eccentric programme on Sky and Sex in The City. I want Carrie’s job :D
I watch Eastenders and Hollyoaks when they are interesting. They’re both peaking now with the Alfie/Cat dilemma and I can’t wait for everyone to find out Toby is the murderer...that story has dragged waaay too much. ¤ Who’s your favourite celebrity and why:
I love Jouhhy Depp, hes played such diverse and unusual roles over the years. His recent roles have really cracked me up because he acts so camp (see Pirates and Once upon a Time in Mexico)
Mathew Wright of the Wright Stuff on channel 5 is brilliant! He is such a witty and savvy presenter.
¤ What’s the one thing you couldn’t live without and why:
I couldn’t live without Sensations Tangy Tomato and Salsa flavoured crisps. Oh and there is also my beloved coats, shoes and bags. Plus, my small supportive family. They’re great when they are sane lol
¤ If you have one, what’s your life’s ambition:
To leave this world knowing I’ve caused a lot of happiness and little pain to people. I will not be satisfied if I don’t have a lovely red Mini Cooper, they are so classy. I would love to travel to an exotic place that’s never been ventured, Indian Jones style and of course makes lots of money being a world-class journalist.
¤ What’s the best dream you’ve had and why:
I have flying dreams frequently. In my flying dreams I actually feel the sensation of the wind cooling my cheeks and I feel so liberated, aside from the bad guys chasing me. But this makes it even more thrilling. Come to think of it, it has been a while since I’ve had that dream
Also, once I had this very vivid dream, in which my mum took my expensive necklace and gave it to her friend. When I woke up I told her off for giving my necklace away and she laughed, ‘Have you skipped your medication, I haven’t taken your necklace.’ Still, I checked my jewellery box and alas it was right there grrrr.
¤ What’s your favourite hobby and why:
Reading, reading, shopping, reading, shopping, shopping, talking on phone with best friend for hours, shopping, cooking, watching films/plays, shopping, pizza, Ben&Jerry’s choc brownie fudge e.t.c
¤ What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done:
When in Klick photo store, I accidently dropped the a big display of photo albums. Honestly, it was like an avalanche. My friend couldn’t stop laughing and the poor ladies on their coffee break chelped put sort it out. I laughed it off by suggesting ‘they had looked bored..I thought I’d give them something to do.’ *sigh* I am such a klutz.
¤ What’s the naughtiest thing you’ve ever done:
Yesterday, I ate my sister’s king-size Sensations packet and when asked blamed it on my brother *blush*
¤ What annoys you the most out of everything:
Arghhh where do I start? Lately, when I’ve been walking along minding my own business a person sort of bumps into me, well we just almost trespass each others walking direction. I call it the waver walk, where you both sidestep each other and then one of you lets the other pass and you smile/laugh in embarrassment. I always say sorry automatically. Anyway the waver thing almost happened twice this past week and both women had the nerve to tsk at me! The second time I gave a loud tsk back but I was still annoyed. Where have all the civilised people gone?
Thanks for reading my long boring prose! Sid
