This may sound like a general gripe but it is an honest question as I would love to meet this person and see if they could help me as so far we have been with two solicitors and just becuase we are on legal aid they have done nothing for us, also I was under the assumption the the executors of a will even though they are solicitors were meant to work for the people who were name under the will not for them selves but in my experience this is not so.
My mother died some 9 yeas ago (yes this has been going on for that long) she told us that she had left her property to us whens he died it was found out that she had changed her will without telling me and under the influence of my siter so that the property had to be sold, we did try and contest the will but were told as we were on legal aid they doublted if we would get very far this went on for 8 years, now this year after being shafted by our solicitor into agreeing to allowing the property to be sold and yet again it was me who had to pay for all all the decorating and preperation for sale not my sister even though she will benefit, now the solicitors who are executors of the will have inssited that the property be placed in the hands of the worst estate agents in our area to give you an idea they missed off a whole room in the details in fact I re wrote them we have had 1 viewingin 3 months, the property was meant to be advertised on a weekly basis in local papers it has been in twice in 3 months, sorry I digress, when I approached the solicitors to say that it would be a good idea to change agents they are still dragging thier feet so I have gone ahead and done it my self next thing we knew we had the new agents telling us that they had to take the board down as the solictors refused to sign the agreements.
So beware do not use Hine Downing solicitors or Heather & Lay estate Agents they will ensure you do not sell your proerty and that you end up paying them for the priviledge of them sitting in an office dictating to you what you can and can't do.
Nice review, sounds like a nightmare! Hopefully it will pick up soon x

The property market has been rather sluggish in general since late Summer. Things should start to pick up a bit now and hopefully you will get some more viewings on it soon. If not, then it is probably over-valued and needs a reduction in price. Lexy
