I writing to complain about the service I received form this company. I bought a Quest A1200 (code QU1004) from the London store in Cavendish street, I already own a three year old Evesham Vale prestige 233 and I liked their computers and service. According to their sales brochure delivery should be within ten days or they promise to call, after eleven days I called the shop to find out what was going on. I was told that there was a delay due the a lack of mother boards but that I should have the computer by the following Tuesday. On Wednesday I again had to call the shop and still the computer was not ready.

Their staff twice promised to call me back and twice failed, that added to the a delay that was not properly explained, made me decide to cancel my order. I phoned again to cancel, a member of staff asked if they could call me back, I agreed that they could call me back in an hour. After three hours I again had to call them, was put on hold for six minutes and was finally put through to the assistant manager. She tried to tell me that she was looking into the matter but I was having none of that, she had had three hours to deal with it already. The usual excuses of lack of staff and being busy came out, all I wanted to know was where was my computer and when would it be delivered. I already knew from one of the sales staff that eighteen days after I had ordered my computer they hadn't even stared building it.

And then she cut me off.

I certainly was not being abusive, terse maybe but not rude and certainly not abusive. There was no raised voices and no bad Language. Well I again called back and after a short conversation.... the order was cancelled.

So here I am annoyed and without one of their excellent computers.

    Sorry to hear about your experience with Evesham.I have to say I didn't have any problems when I ordered my computer,but something obviously went very wrong with your order. I can only say I have had excellent service from them over the last 3 & half years,and they are good computers.
