Review of "Evo"
As a self-confessed petrolhead, I tend to buy lots of car magazines. I regularly read Top Gear, Car, Autocar and Auto Express. However, the only car magazine I subscribe to is Evo. Why? Because it's the best one around.Evo is primarily aimed at the driving enthusiast. It won't tell you which supermini is best for the supermarket run, or how to ruin a perfectly good car by adding tacky spoilers, bodykits and wheels. Evo is all about performance cars and the thrill of driving.
The quality of writing in Evo is second to none. The only other car magazine that even comes close in that department is Car. It's clear from every article in Evo that the writers care passionately about the subject, and are able to convey that passion to the reader in a way that few can. The articles in the magazine quite simply manage to put the reader right in the driving seat. The photography in the magazine is nothing short of incredible. Whatever the subject, the magazine's photographers seem able to produce absolutely top-notch pictures to accompany the superb articles.
At nearly 4 quid an issue, the magazine is hardly cheap, but it's more than worth it. You get more quality from Evo than most of the lesser magazines put together. Purchase just one issue and you'll be hooked, such is the quality.
