The reason I bought Dettol AntiBacterial Floor wipes was because my little puppy is always running in and out of the patio area which leads directly into my sitting room leaving her dirty paw marks on the laminate flooring,

Following a number of requests to provide a list of products that contain the anti-bacteria compound Triclosan I've decided to do a little investigation and publish the list here.

What suprised me in compiling this list is the number of 'plastics' that include the compound Triclosan. e.g toothbrushes, childrens toys. Theres even a computer keyboard and mouse that contains it. Surely thats got to be overkill.

Antibiotics are our main weapon against bacterial infection and up until a few years ago their use was almost exclusively confined to the medical sector. However about 10 years ago they started to appear in products used within the household, initially in the form of washing up liquids and other household cleaning products but later they also started to appear in soaps and other personal hygenie products.
