When a film is written, produced, directed and starred in by one man, you get an idea that it may be a low budget smalltime movie. And in this case you would be right for assuming. However, there are many films that ar far from Hollywood blockbusters and yet still hold your attention throughout. The Dummy sits on the line for this one with a mix of funny and entertaining scenes as well as some pretty poorly acted ones. The acting quality ranges drastically throughout and features some actors who seem as if they might get somewhere half decent and others that seem to just be friends of the the director.
