I needed to set up a quick and easy LAN network at home so that both my home computer and my laptop could use my broadband internet connection.
You see this cable is a CAT 5E which means that it allows broadband to be shared where as normal CAT 5 cable does not surport broadband only regular internet.
This cable also is a RJ45 (male) cable well actaully its male to male which means that it will fit into most LAN cards and routers. Some LAN cards only use female ends though i havent found one of these yet.
The cable also has a 300 MHZ (some have got 500 MHZ)bandwith which allows quick file sharing among the computers, i havent even noticed any lag one the internet either.
