Exit to Eden is a more main-stream version of Anne's Sleeping Beauty series. The fact that Rosie O'Donnell played a key part in the "Movie" of the same name actually degraded the book in and of itself. For those who fantasize about S&M in the extreme, I recommend this as light reading. For something more in depth, and definitely of infinitely better Anne style, read the Sleeping Beauty Chronicles instead. For those who are familiar with the Beauty Chronicles, this will be mild and even distasteful. Anne is an Excellent author, but this is one work that could have been left in the filing cabinet. For anyone who would rather watch the movie than read the book -- READ THE BOOK. The movie is a horrible attempt to make amusing something that is quite real, and quite serious.
