Expedia.co.uk. has completely turned around my experience of online ticket booking. Using it has saved me time, money and stress.

I was looking for a certain trip, the details of whichcould not be altered, which is where many of the other online booking sites fell flat, and where Expedia impressed me the most.

Using other sites I attempted to book the ticket. The online booking company at Freeserve could not provide me with a flight that left on the dates I wanted; lastminute.com was frustratingly expensive, and TravelServe was just poor in terms of booking facilities and customer care. After browsing for some time, I found a flight for £260, which met all my criteria. I was happy to I pay that, but felt that it should be cheaper. At the last moment I decided to check Ciao to see what they recommended for online flight bookers, an expedia came the result. And thank goodness for that.

Within 10 minutes of being at the site, I had found the same flight to chicago for £40 cheaper, meeting all my expectations. The site was very easily understandable, with different caterogies for what you might be looking for. The search engine is very quick, and finds enough flights to have a wide choice of options whilst still narrow a field not to be swamped by too many, which was a problem on other sites.

Expedia also has an efficient and dedicated customer care department too, forwarding my details to me and asking my questions about the flight in a very short space of time.

The main failing of expedia seems to be agreed with by the other members of ciao. Expedia is geared for people who know where and when they want to travel, and for what price. However it doesn't seem too efficient in browsing for holidays and packages.

In conclusion, I will certainly be using Expedia again, and recommend any one to at least look at the prices, if not buy though the site.
