Getting ready to book the annual summer holiday, have spent hours trawling through various online agencies offering ‘cheap flights’. Despite numerous permutations, could either get an outgoing flight but not return or vice versa.

Finally remembered expedia.co.uk and thought, well let’s give it a go. Site map, seemed pretty straightforward – as I was looking for flights, entered all the relevant details: dates/times/airports etc and list of all airlines matching my requirements appeared. After checking availability etc thought let’s give this a go and up came the flights, on a scheduled airline AND at the times I required. Most impressive, let’s actually try now and book.

No problem here either, just set yourself up an account and you are almost done.
Before finally booking, you are shown your itinerary and then given the opportunity to either cancel or proceed.

Nothing could be simpler. Then thought I’d try and book a hotel. Your itinerary will also show ‘recommended hotels’ in the city you are flying into, with start prices for the accommodation. Found something that was near the city and in our price range and off with the booking (a tip here, don’t forget to clear all your flight details from the screen else you will be confronted with a HUGE bill, as the booking system will automatically assume you want to book for the entire duration of the stay!) Just a minor gripe, or possibly me getting a little ahead of myself!

Emails are received giving full flight, hotel accommodation details within minutes of concluding the transaction.

Excellent site, have to say it’s easy to use and the best I’ve seen whilst trying to book the trip. have read other opinions and found the info useful. Luckily I have been looking for scheduled and not charter flights which has possibly helped the searches.
