Soldier on a countdown to destruction, wreaking revenge on an alien invasion. The guns are huge, the explosions enormous and the action reaches the skies as gigantic forces collide in this 3-D Napalm powered shoot' em up.
nice style, punky, savegame functions good, difficulty options good, visceral, some great effects.
multiplayer doesnt work well, graphics dated, not particularly original in any way.

The game is incredibly lacking in story, not that thats in the least bit important in a brainless game of this nature, but suffice to say that you play a heavily armed marine with almost superhuman ability to kill.

simple but fun gameplay, good soundtrack, appealing visuals
nothing very original, 2 player mode on one keyboard is annoying
"Released in 2000, Expendable is a derivative but wholly enjoyable arcade style shoot-em up with colourful and stimulating 3daccellerated graphics and big explosions by the bucketload.
The game has you playing as a nameless supersoldier against a heavily mechanised alien race, blowing away all and sundry with lasers, plasma cannons, rocket launchers, machineguns and the like, the levels ranging from post-apocalyptic urban wastelands, vast spacecraft ..."

"At the end, HHB2K is a good, solid sophmore effort from Team .366. Its focus on the game of baseball itself helps to salve the wounds after fighting through every little problem (and some big ones, too) and a career mode and stats engine that feels like an afterthought. I sometimes think that this is a game that doesn't quite know what it wants to be. Is it a great recreation of the game of baseball or the best damn all around simulator of baseball ..."

Expendable is a stunning return to old school action values from Rage - albeit with a modern-day twist. The player is cast as a genetically enhanced soldier who is dropped into five 3D play areas wherein they are assailed from all sides. Using a wealth of collectible weapons, the player must blast a path to the end-of-stage boss that dominates each stage while simultaneously reveling in the huge explosions, stunning visuals and booming sound that Expendable enjoys.
