ExtraFilm just happened to have sent me a promotion email the day I decided to get started on choosing & ordering, so I decided to try them instead of ... ...glad I did - the enlargements are probably the best I've received from any company, and I'm extremely satisfied with the Photo Book.
The colour in all the photographs is very good ... in the enlargements it's exceptional, with every detail clear as it was in the actual moment, and totally true to the actual real-life colours of clothing, water, grass & sky.

ExtraFilm just happened to have sent me a promotion email the day I decided to get started on choosing & ordering, so I decided to try them instead of my usual photo printing service.
I'm really glad I did - the enlargements are probably the best I've received from any company, and I'm extremely satisfied with the Photo Book.
The colour in all the photographs is very good ... in the enlargements it's exceptional, with every detail clear as it was in the actual moment, and totally true to the actual real-life colours of clothing, water, grass & sky.
The Photo Book is almost as true to life but as it's not printed on the same high gloss paper, it lacks just a little of the visual impact of the enlargements. That doesn't detract from its value, however, in either visual pleasure or clarity in the photographs.
The ability to choose the cover colour and material, and the background of the pages (print or plain) is great for setting a "mood" for your Photo Book right from the word Go.
For example, I wanted mine to reflect the upmarket, elegant tone of the barge we'd travelled on, so I chose a Victorian flower scroll background. If I'd wanted a vibrant, contemporary mood, or a fun, light-hearted one I'd have had several other choices including the birthday theme.
Once you've selected the photo's you want to include in your Book, you can either select the auto fill option, or start choosing how many you want on each page, and in what positions they look best. I chose the latter option, and ended up with a book which has some double photo pages, some triple, and some single ... it's a very individual process, and it really worked for me.
You have the option to caption each photo; obviously if you don't wish to you'd just leave the sections blank. If you do choose to caption, make sure you triple check your text .... I thought I'd checked mine, and only realised when I went back to the website to review what I'd ordered, after the book was in the process of being printed, that I'd added a letter to the name of one of the places we visited. No great disaster - but if you're a perfectionist, or the Book is intended as a gift, obviously you want it to be 100% perfect.
Delivery time was under a week ... which included a weekend ... I was really impressed. The enlargements came rolled in a sturdy tube, which lessened the risk of them being ruined by a careless postie, and the Photo Book was imilarly well-packaged.
All in all, great value for money, and I'll certainly be using ExtraFilm in the future.

I found them very good pictures have come back very clear. Had the occasional mishap with the cropping endup headless instead of feetless but thats only happened once in 6 months. and i have had photos big and small,coloured black n white, even a couple of mugs made with my pics on and t'shirts. I would definetely recommend them to anyone. ...

I found extrafilm whilst researching retailers who accept paypal payments.in todays financial climate i have been trying to sell old things on ebay to finance new things i need with the growing number of paypal accepting retailers .i find it a really good service and reasonably priced, the added bonus is that if you are a ebayer you can use any of your profits held in your paypal account to pay, which is great as you dont have to supply any card ...

Abysmal service. Do not reply to emails when deliveries have not arrived. Ask you to order again even though they have taken money for the first order that was not delivered.
When they did respond to emails, they could not write English so it was not possible to tell whether the prints would be delivered. There are no telephone number contact points except for one on their website that is not functional.
I would not trust them. They have a base ... ...they have a non-existant UK telephone number.
I have used Photobox in the past and never had these type of problems. They are promoted by Canon which seems very silly for Canon as they damage their brand name.
The photos arrived over 2 weeks after ordering. Quality seems good.

I use a 10MB Practica Digital Camera and have only ever printed my own photos but the Photograph that I ordered was 16x12 and I do not have the hardware to print that size. I found it easy to upload the picture to you and it was very easy to make the payment ec. I am extremely pleased with the print which was taken at a Golden Wedding Celebration and now that I have framed it it looks like a professional Phtograph. I would recomend you to anyone ... ...and I expect to be using your services later in the year once my son has got married and I hope to get some photos on my Camera of the wedding. Your prices are great and so is your service. I have compared prices with other online printing and you come out on top by a mile and also since it was a large \"Poster\" size print that I ordered I was impressed by the way it was packaged to avoiding damage in transit.
