Equazen Eye Q Chews - Kids love these Omega 3's

Over the last few years, there has been a lot of media coverage regarding the benefits of omega 3 fish oils. Study after study proves that a diet rich in these essential fatty oils can help keep our brains and hearts healthy. Of particular interest to me is its effect on children where those with a high intake of omega 3 have shown dramatic improvements in their concentration levels as well as apparently making them 'brainier'. A few years ago I decided there must be something in this and started buying different types of supplements containing Omega 3. How High Is Your EYE Q?

Advantages: Increased brain function, vision, reduced risk of heart attack
Disadvantages: None

was on the Eye Q. I decided to try Amy on it. She was good at reading, but was struggling in Maths at school. I put her on the same dose. Again, the same thing happened. It took about 6 weeks, but her teacher mentioned that she was concentrating better, and her Maths had improved. It could be a coincidence, couldn?t it? After the 12 weeks was up, I reduced James? levels down to 2 in the morning as it recommends, and noticed a backwards slide with him after about a week, so I put him back up to 6. After several trial and error attempts to reduce the dosage, I decided that he is better off on the full dose all the time. Amy, however, has a maintenance dose of 3 capsules each morning. Eye Q Liquid

Advantages: Unable to state as children refused to take the product due to taste.
Disadvantages: Taste not as pleasant as claimed.

Don't waste your money !!! £10 for something sitting in my fridge that will be heading for the bin. The website claims that it "should find favour with the most discerning of young palates. " Oh No it doesn't !!! My 11 year old didn't like it, neither did my 6 year old. As an adult I didn't think it very nice either. Like drinking veg oil, similar in taste too. I wanted to try the chews, to see if they would be any better, but after their claims that the liquid was pleasant tasting didn't pan out, I was unwilling to take another risk, and end up with another useless product on my hands. It is a pity they don't do sample sizes for people to try before they buy a full sized product. At least then they could see which if any of the types of products works best.
