The eye of the storm

Advantages: Makes interesting telly
Disadvantages: none

'The Eye of the Storm', presented by Richard Madley is on ITV (although not at the moment!). But, when it is on, it's a very interesting programme. Normally filmed in America, where they tend to get the most extreme of weather, it films people who actually chases twisters and tornado's! Why do they do this? It baffles me why, but they obviously get a kick out of it! It's not just showing these storm chasers, the programme also offers other kinds of weather this globe we live in has endured. Some of the most amazing thunder and lightening storms have been filmed. This programme is just basic, down-to-earth, and very real weather from around the world. It may sound boring, but it has to be seen to be believed. The world is changing all the time, and so is our weather. 'The Eye of the Storm' shows the most extreme ...

Review of Eye of the Storm

Eye of the Storm

Advantages: Panoramic views
Disadvantages: Possible vertigo

There is a point during certain experiences when you discover the point of no return. I once looked out of a plane window and realised I was in a tin can at 35,000 feet and the realisation nearly made me cry. Likewise on realising that I was in labour with my son I suddenly wanted to run away from my body - no chance. There was a point on the London eye when I realised that I was in a perspex Kinder egg dangling over the Thames with at least another 13 minutes to go before my feet touched the ground. This, combined with the tourists having a domestic over photo taking made me sit down and contemplate what on earth I was doing up there. We really need to find a new religion! The website for this giant folly is great, really informative and easy to navigate. It is found at www.ba-londoneye.com. If you are wondering what I am ...

Review of London Eye, London

You will definatly be storming ahead in these!

Advantages: (+)Waterproof, (+) Breathable, (+) Sturdy, (+) Good quality, (+) Well Priced
Disadvantages: (-) Leather boots need taking care of

not once did I twist my ankle. The boot has a great deal of support around the heel with lots of padding on the fabric inside lining. The overall boot is durable and also waterproof. It has a sewn in leather tongue so there are no gaps between the boot and the tongue as it is all in one to prevent water getting in to the inside of the boot. Technically you would be able to stand in water up to above your ankle in depth and not get wet as the leather creates a waterproof cover (providing you keep the boot care up and look after it). The boot is also breathable so it limits sweating from your feet with in the foot. **********Quality********** Peter Storm is a very well known and respected make in the 'outdoors' industry. They have been around for many years and have used their experience to make their products to a high standard ...
