I have always been a little intrigued when it comes to applying false Eyelashes.
Picture the scene, a little over twelve months ago I was shopping in Boots when something in the make up section caught my eye... Stick on strip Eyelashes. Always keen to try something new (and with a party to get to in a few short hours) I put a packet in my basket and carried on with my shopping. That evening as I was getting ready I applied the eyelashes and off I went. Several hours (and drinks) later I was on the dance floor when my friend started laughing one of my lovely strip lashes had fallen from my eye and affixed itself quite firmly to my cheek.
So shopping in Boots last month and with the festive season coming up I once again I decided to brave false eyelashes only this time opting for Eylure Individual lashes.
Eylure Individual lashes cost £4.99 and come in two colours Brown or Black. The blurb on the packet says the lashes will offer "Natural fullness for 3-4 weeks" and that they are also suitable for contact lens wearers. Eylure lashes can be found at Boots Superdrug and on the Eylure Website which I will detail at the end of the review.
The lashes come in three lengths Short, Medium and Long and there are seventeen of each which is more than enough for one application. Each individual lash is what I can only describe as a sprig and has 10 very fine lashes coming off it. Also to be found in the packet is a small tube of eyelash Glue and tube of eyelash remover and a set of very easy to follow instructions. The False lashes are applied to your own individual eyelashes making them more natural looking than the conventional strip kind and also much more likely to stay attached!
ADVICE ON APPLICATION -
The first time I used these lashes I followed the instructions and used tweezers to apply. As well as being extremely time consuming the result was also quite disastrous. As the lashes curve I found it difficult to get them sitting neatly and all facing the same direction. Personally I have found it much easier to apply the lashes using my fingers as If I make a mistake in application I can quickly move the individual lash if I need to.
The instructions also state that you should use all three sizes for each eye using the small lashes for the inner eye, Medium lashes for the middle and Long Lashes for the outside of your eye. I did this for the first application and found the lashes looked much to long and quite fake which was what I was hoping not to achieve! As my lashes are naturally quite short I have found just using the short lashes teamed medium at the outer eye looks much more natural. I have also found that less tends to be more and will typically use three short and two medium sprigs on each eye. This tends to give the natural effect I want and lasts for upto four weeks, it also save me having to use Mascara.
MY OPINON -
I would definitely recommend anyone who is curious about False Lashes to give these a try. Although I would advise any first time users to give themselves lots of practice at application. My first try was absolutely hopeless and my Lashes looked really fake. After a few tries I was able to achieve what I was hoping for - full looking natural lashes. They are also great for anyone who is a little lazy with eye make up and cannot be bothered applying Mascara every morning. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the lashes do last as long as three to four weeks and are really easy to remove providing the Lash remover is used dabbed on some cotton wool. All in all great value for money.
I had individual falsies at the local college...but i think they used all the long ones...I took them off after the first dayat work full of comments about the terrible draft every time i blinked. I love the idea though so may give these a go and do as you did just use the short and medium :-)

I tried these a while ago and found that they fell off and looked silly while I was out and didn't even need the remover to take them off. I tried several times with no luck, maybe I havd a bad batch of glue. They did look brilliant when first done though!!! Laura.
