The Dreamcast delivers a new sense of realism to the racing games genre withF1 World Grand ... more
Prix. Not only is it one of the most beautiful games of its kind, with lavishly modelled cars and tracks, but it's one of the deepest ones as well.Almost every aspect of F1's cars can be customiSed, including gear ratio, suspension, brake sensitivity, front and rear wings, as well as tyres and the amount of fuel racers choose to carry. Pit stops let players refuel and repair damage--which cars take realistically--and an announcer identifies racers' ranking, position gains and losses, and specific car damage. There are 16 races in championship mode, each with weather conditions based on conditions found in the real event. A match-race mode lets two friends compete, which is ideal when you want to go head-to-head against a mate. The only real drawback to this game is that it lacks the speed of an arcade-style racer, but this fact alone may be enough to scare away non-racing fans. --Robb GuidoPros:real F1 racers and their carsbeautifully modelled tracks and nice weather effectsan in-depth car-set-up screenCons:races are slower than they could bethe controls are a bit difficult to master

F1 World GrandPrix For Dreamcast
This formula 1 racing game follows the 1998 racing season. Therefore, all the 11 teams and 22 drivers are set out as they were in that year. At the time of the game’s creation, the Williams team did not have two drivers, so one of the drivers for the Williams team is listed as, “Williams Driver.”
The game has 4 main playing options which are,
Single race
Championship
Time attack
Match race (2 player option)
If you are looking to just have a short go on the game, the single race option is just the ticket. However, if you want to follow the season from start to finish, you may want to enter the championship option which takes you through all 16 rounds of the 1998 season. If you want to try and better yourself, you can enter the time attack option whereby you try and beat ...
Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing... Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !
Just been for my first ride on my new Continental GrandPrix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK...
Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany.
The GrandPrix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent GrandPrix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack ...
Advantages: improved from the other one Disadvantages: 3 years later and there still isnt another
While this game is really good, i cant help thinking how much more they could have done with it.
There has only been two games for the psp one in 2005 and then 2006, and thats where it all stopped.
There was alittle trouble with the licencing agreements and now they have bene bought by codemasters. New f1 games have been worked on in 2008 and there expected to come put somtime in 2009, 3 years after the previous f1 release on the psp.
This game however is still really good even though its quite old. The graphics are great and there are so much more improvements than the 2005 one.
There is now the full 3 rounds of qualifying and the ability to tweek your car a little to get the best times and to get you on pole position. Making it harder to win now is also the random events. this means that a car could crash straight in front ...
