~PRICE~
French Connection otherwise known, as FCUK is quite pricey but the products are quality and it is a desired high street store name. A simple logo top costs £20. ~AVAILABILTY~
I found roughly 4 or 5 tops that I really liked today for my brother and out of those I was looking for a size medium (though I’m still not sure if that’s too big). In the end there was only one in a size medium so that kind of made up my mind. Maybe this was a ... more
~MEN’S DEPARTMENT~ I have used French Connection’s male and female departments. This is not because I see myself as a cross dresser on weekends but because I have dear loved ones who I can buy pressies for. Take today for example. I have just got back from shopping in the town centre of Leicester for a birthday present for my brother. At the best of times I find this job hard but the staff in French Connection (FCUK) were really great.
~SHOP ASSISTANTS~ I believe today his name was Shane. I looked around for a bit and then he asked if he could help me (thankfully he asked). I don’t like asking but he asked on cue just before I started to look like a prat. He didn’t badger me into buying but he was helpful saying what sold best and explaining the returns policy.
He asked me a few questions: Who was I buying for? My Brother (though I felt like I was being chatted up as he looked relived when I said brother… mmmmmmmmmmmm) What I was looking for? Preferably a top just because I’ve got to send it via. post. What was he like: like logos or not? Not
So after this little quiz he helped me find a few tops.
~PRODUCT~ French Connection has a fair sized range of items in the Leicester store. This store is generally small and for the size of it there are roughly 60 products in the men’s department. (…and no I didn’t count but that’s me taking a wild guess). The clothes are sectioned off into Trousers: Casual, Smart, Going Out, Tops: The original FCUK logo tops and then a variety of simpler tops. Casual Cardigans and a sale rack.

A simpler classic t-shirt increases to £25 and a long sleeved top costs £30. Jacket tops range from £30 to £70. Trousers, I don’t know, as I never buy trousers for people, as it’s too hard! ~AVAILABILTY~ I found roughly 4 or 5 tops that I really liked today for my brother and out of those I was looking for a size medium (though I’m still not sure if that’s too big). In the end there was only one in a size medium so that kind of made up my mind. Maybe this was a bad day or because our shop is small but this kind of annoyed me a little. The assistant was fabulous and did go searching for me without being prompted so I didn’t get het up this time. The assistant didn’t say when deliveries were which would have been good!
~PACKAGING~ This is what I really think outlines a good shops customer service from a bad shop. French connection folds the clothes up around French connection tissue paper and places it in a black box shaped bag with French Connection sprawled across the side. The bags handles were string thus they don’t cut into your hands and they’re quite long so you can just sling the bag over your shoulders. This got the thumbs up from me.
~RETURNING~ The company’s policy on returning is: If returned within 14 days you can have a full refund. If returned within 28 days you can have a credit note or swap. Sale items cannot be returned unless faulty.
~ADVANTAGES~ 1.The shops assistant was really nice especially as I felt like a bit of a prat shopping in the men’s department. 2.The packaging is quality. 3.The products wash quite well. 4.Prices vary.
~DISADVANTAGES~ 1.Prices but some out extreme for the top but others are ok priced. 2.Returns policy. Not too bad if it’s for yourself but for a present, the policy’s a bit dodgy in the terms that you can’t get full refund after 14 days. 3.Not really for this opinion but sometimes the women in the womens departement give you a bit of a look as if to say, you’re not shopping here are you. 4.Selection can be quite limited. 5.Availability of sizing.
Advantages: The exclusiveness of the clothes mean that if you are an owner of several items, you feel like one of the prestigeous with good style and taste! Disadvantages: Probably the prices, but you get what you pay for and FCUK is certainly no exception from that rule!
FCUK seems to have come along way from the days of its French Connection Days! The Slogans for 1 have become a lot trendier and have been some of the hottest properties on the 'style market' recently!
The fact is that everyone wants to have a trendy and unique slogan on their clothes and FCUK gives you all that with a bit of Controversy. We all like the fact that from a glance it looks to be spelt differently and this is one of the main reasons ... ...Buy FCUK?
You buy FCUK because of the quality, because of the trendyness and because of the controversy it has caused. The fact that the prices are quite high on FCUK clothing/goods is because it is supposed to be an exclusive range only for either the most stylish of people or the people with money to burn. Luckily i happen to be both (trying not to blow my own trumpet too hard! hehe!). The clothes will last a long time because of the quality and ...

Advantages: Some unique stylish items Disadvantages: Getting pricey / everyone one has that FCUK T
...& who DOESN't have a FCUK T-shirt now. OK so i like my stuff a bit exclusive rather than wearing the same thing as the teeny-bopper next to me. I find this range is really getting tiresome and running out of steam, some of the slogans are just plain sad & scream 'I want attention'.
However, on saying all this FCUK still do lots of stylish clothes. They do alot of stylish jumpers & jackets aimed at the more discerning customer. I guess the prices ... ...the ranges exclusive.
They have a cutting edge range, of which my current faves are those really sharp looking coats which are just spot on. The pure white understated items this season are must haves, just make sure u get a good washing powder to keep them that way.
Another range they do is for the more mature, items which are stylish, yet sensible enough for everyday use.
Quality
I have to say that the majority of items i've bought here are ...

Advantages: the brand is a popular name with status Disadvantages: it's far too expensive and the clothes aren't that great
...I first heard about the FCUK brand I found it mildly amusing due to the obvious pun and I was even more amused when I read some of the t-shirt titles 'fancy a fcuk', etc. but after about 5 minutes the novelty of this brand wears off.
Yes there is some prestige that comes from having an FCUK shirt, jacket, etc. but if we really think about it, is it worth it? I think the answer is no. When I was wandering around my local FCUK store the other day ... ...carbon copies just minus the FCUK symbol. I personally find it ridiculous that people will pay double or triple the price an item is worth because it has a name on it.
Some people have said to me that you pay for quality in FCUK but you don't! The clothes aren't better made than any other brand and aren't longer lasting! I thought maybe it was my local store that had the problem so i visited www.fcukbuymail.com, the online shop for FCUK, but I was ...

Advantages: Excellent quality, long-lasting, nice designs and colours Disadvantages: Cannot buy direct from them online
I have bought French Connection clothes many times, and have been very satisfied with their design and quality.
They offer some really excellent clothes, especially their shirts which I really do like.
What I do not like about them is their new name. FCUK, I think this is a sad way to make publicity for yourself. I feel that they have stooped rather low on this one. Everyone can see what they are trying to do here, I really wouldn't have thought ... ...this. Although, in my eyes, their integritty has been tarnished a tad, I still love their clothes.
I have also tried to find their website, and last time I looked FCUK.com for a company called first consultants UK Ltd, who have been established longer with this name than french connection. I have found out that their is a legal battle over the domain name. As a business student with an understanding of law, french connection have no chance, the ...

Quick review of FCUK (Shop)
Unfortunately I have had a poor experience of French Connection Clothing.
Over the Christmas period I purchased several clothes with the French Connection logo 'FCUK'. The brand is in the higher price range of products compared to high street stores - yet, I have been disappointed with the quality of the garments.
I have purchased two female t-shirt tops, a winters jumpers and a dressier evening top … all of which have either shrunk or bobbled in the wash. I find this highly inappropriate considering the brand reputation and price tag!!!
I would advise people who are considering purchasing from French Connection to study the garments closely and enquire into the stores returns/refund policy before doing so. ...

>>>I?ve decided to update this review because French Connection have introduced some new lines since I originally wrote the review so I?ve decided to included some more information<<<
French Connection shops have been springing up all over the country for the past few years. Within the UK French Connection are known as FCUK (French Connection United Kingdom) and throughout the rest of Europe as French Connection.
Over the past four years the success of FCUK has been phenomenal probably owing to a major advertising campaign which has caused some controversy. Despite the fact that some people disagree with using FCUK as a slogan on t-shirts and in advertising, it has in many ways been one of the keys to their success raising the profile of the company and causing a sudden appearance of stores across the country.
To highlight ...

**~~WHAT ARE THE SHOPS LIKE?~~**
Most of the shops are small. Not very practical when you're out on a shopping spree on a saturday afternoon with the rest of the world! You won't be able to hardly breathe, let alone move, in an FCUK store sometimes! The one's in London (and probably other major, major cities too) are bigger and some are even two floors. The bigger stores stock more formal, smart stuff so if that's what you're after it's bets to head to a larger store. The smaller one's have mainly jeans, T's and maybe soome trousers. The FCUK sections in department stores seem to only feature the casual ranges too.
The shops are usually (except big rush times!) very tidy. The whole look of the store is very clean looking. As you go into the store, they usually feature the new slogans on a variety of T ...

Advantages: Everything, this shop has something for everyone. Disadvantages: None, although slightly on the pricey side.
MY OPINION:
Now I have caught everybody's eyes with my appropriate title I shall begin! Although a fairly new customer to FCUKshops I've already fallen completely in love with its fashion wear and items! The first FCUKshop I went to was the one in Nottingham in the UK and was intrigued by its range of clothes to suit all different sizes and shapes of people. Its range of Summer and Winter clothes is dense with variety and the prices are fairly reasonable, although maybe a little on the expensive side. You will be sure to find a FCUKshop in almost every big City.
LAYOUT, STYLE AND DESIGN OF SHOP:
The layout in this particular shop was also pretty impressive with it's easy to navigate clothes racks set out in colour blocks to suit your own personal choice. Also the separation of womens to mens clothes was clearly defined ...
