This really does feel like the gameplay has been remastered and is completely different to last years installment. Just as I was moving away from FIFA to Pro Evolution Soccer, I am once again loving FIFA. After playing the latest Pro Evolution on PC I would say FIFA is better. There isn't a lot of change from last year's Pro Evo, the gameplay seems the same and the graphics are not as good as FIFA 09. People criticise FIFA for being too easy, which I have noticed in past additions but now you cannot score from really far out every time and also from close-up. The goalkeepers seem a lot better now which is more realistic. Also, you cannot just skip past players-you actually get tackled!
You can also use your mouse as a control, to point, pass, and shoot, which is quite a good feature (once you've got used to it) and it helps make your shots and slide tackles more accurate. There is also a new skill move modifier control which is quite good for certain skills.
When the ball is in the air a new feature of competing for the ball is evident and also vollies are improved.
However it ultimately depends on what you value- if you like good graphics- definitely go for FIFA 09. If you're just bothered about the gameplay it's a tough one because FIFA has updated it a lot whereas Pro Evo haven't really, but it is still good gameplay. If you really liked the gameplay of last year's Pro Evo get the new one. If you want something new and/or the whole package get Fifa 09.
